Here is Mike Huckabee, asking for special tuition rates for children of illegal immigrants. In the example he gave, the child is also here illegally. Of course, the child had no say in whether they broke our laws and came here illegally, but the whole family should be sent home. Immigrants who respect our laws should be given preference in becoming American citizens.
We don't need a president (like the current one) who is soft on illegal immigration and the security of our national borders.

"asking for special tuition rates for children of illegal immigrants"
Correction: He is asking for the same opportunities for children of illegals as for other children, not for special rates. I believe we should deport the whole family that is here illegally. But if we are unwilling to do that, you can make a pretty good case for allowing illegal students the same opportunities as others. Bringing them out of the underclass into mainstream society is better than leaving them here but without opportunity.
The issue is certainly debatable, but to call it "special rates for children of illegals" is misleading.
Thanks!
Thanks for your comment, Mr. Wilson.
According to the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, Huckabee supports not only taxpayer-funded scholarships for illegal immigrant children, but an in-state tuition rate for children of illegal immigrants (who may very well be here illegally themselves). That in-state tuition rate is not available to LEGAL residents of Ohio, Nebraska, Missouri or wherever in the United States...yet would be offered to people who SHOULDN'T EVEN BE IN THIS COUNTRY IN THE FIRST PLACE.
So it IS a special tuition rate, and it is being offered to people who are in this country illegally.
And saying that we should do things that accommodate a previous failure to enforce the law is NOT the way to go. We should advocate enforcement of the law, period, with no accommodations in light of that failure. When we fail to enforce the law, we breed disrespect and contempt for the rule of law in general.
