The Powerful Humility of Christmas

The Christmas season is like no other time of the year. In spite of the freezing weather people have to contend with, most folks reveal a certain happy sparkle in their eyes. Maybe it's because the season brings with it optimism about the future. For those within the Christian faith, there is an understanding that there is more to come. We hold fast and trust in God's faithful promise of the "blessed assurance" (John 10:28).

Yes, it's true that Christians especially have reason to feel merrier. This is the season that points to the First Advent of the Savior's entrance into the universe that He created. And with confidence and anticipation, we await the Savior's Second Advent, known to many as the Second Coming of Christ.

The message of Christ has had a positive impact on the entire world. Christ willingly became like us so that we may one day experience the glories of heaven with Him.

One of the many things my family enjoys at Christmastime is to take turns reading out loud the story of Christ's birth. It brings us together. As we read line upon line from the Word of God, we reflect upon its magnificent beauty.

Because we are in the midst of the holiday season, I believe the Christmas story should be shared. It begins with a special announcement that went forth from Caesar Augustus. The decree proclaimed that the entire kingdom would have to be registered. The very first census took place while Cyrenius was governing Syria. Everyone had to return to their home city and register their names.

Joseph, a carpenter by trade, went up from Galilee and out of the city of Nazareth into Judea to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem. Joseph was of the house and lineage of David. He took with him his wife Mary, who was with child. They were a blessed couple whose marriage would be remembered throughout the ages.

While in Bethlehem, Mary gave birth to her first-born son. She lovingly wrapped the baby in swaddling clothes and bedded Him in a manger because there was no room at the inn.

At that time, shepherds were living in the open fields, keeping watch over their flocks at night. Suddenly, an angel of the Lord stood before them. The shepherds became frightened. The glory of the Lord shone all about them. They had no idea of what was to take place within a matter of hours, and its great importance.

The angel said to them, "Do not be afraid, for behold I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day, in the city of David, a Savior which is Christ the Lord. And this will be the sign to you. You will find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger" (Luke 2:10-12).

"And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host, praising God and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men" (Luke 2:13-14).

In the book of Luke, Chapter Two, we read that all the world was being taxed at the time that Christ was born. If we had been living back then, we might have seen it on the front page of the Jerusalem Times. However, the biggest story then (and now) had nothing to do with government or Caesar and his big tax-and-spend programs. It was about a little baby boy who was both God and man.

The Christmas story reminds unbelieving skeptics that there is a God to whom the whole world eventually will have to account. The Almighty has already fulfilled His part to save all humankind by the way of the Cross. All that we need do is respond to God's love and live our lives as Christians. Others will follow and believe in Emanuel — God with us.

It's amazing and incomprehensibly awesome that God actually came to this world in human flesh and dwelt amongst us. Yet, in today's society we pick up the newspapers to find articles about some poor lost souls who can't stand the idea of a Nativity scene being displayed in the public arena, while the ACLU steps in with a lawsuit to curtail the free expression of religion.

President Ulysses S. Grant set aside Dec 25th as a federal holiday during a time when our nation had been severely divided by a civil war. He believed that a Christmas holiday would help unite the country. Unfortunately, there is an extremely vocal, small-minded minority who are against any religious aspects to this celebration. With the help of the liberal media, they are bound and determined to change things. They continually try to subvert America's Judeo-Christian beliefs. Every Christian needs to become seriously pro-active against those who try to undermine and attack the faith of America's founding fathers.

The Good News is "For this is how God loved the world: He gave his unique Son so that everyone who believes in Him might not be lost, but have eternal life" (John 3:16). The angels in heaven rejoice over the miraculous love of God.

History was made on that night in the town of Bethlehem, while most of the people were sleeping. They were not aware that God Himself had just stepped into their midst, and that thousands of years of prophetic promises had just come to fruition.

The arrival of Jesus Christ would surprise the Hebrew theologians of that time. They would find themselves confused concerning the prophecies of their Messiah's first and Second Coming. For, you see, the citizenry and their religious leaders were expecting a great political leader who was capable of and willing to remove the heavy yoke of the Roman Empire, and set the nation of Israel free. They were looking for a man with a higher education and one who could easily take his place in society with the great Sanhedrin. However, that was not who God sent us, because that is not what we needed.

Years ago, an unknown author wrote some amazing words: "If our greatest need had been information, God would have sent us an educator. If our greatest need had been technology, God would have sent us a scientist. If our greatest need had been money, God would have sent us an economist. If our greatest need had been pleasure, God would have sent us an entertainer. But our greatest need was forgiveness, so God sent us a Savior."

If there were such a thing as a time machine, we could step back in time and space where we could behold Jesus, lying asleep in a manger as helpless as any other child. What a wondrous and glorious sight that would be!

We would find Wise Men who came from afar to bring their gifts to a baby child. This Christmas season, give a gift to the one who loves you so much that He died just for you. Give your heart to Jesus without hesitation.

The Word of God says that the whole reason God came was to "seek and to save that which was lost." He humbled Himself especially for you.

While many will enjoy the Christmas tree and the sumptuous holiday dinner, how many will take a moment to ask: Why was Jesus born? When people envision Christ in a manger, the truth will become as clear as the driven snow. The Lord was thinking about them while in the courts of heaven.

Is there a single good reason to say "No" to an everlasting kind of love? Christ knows you better than anyone else. "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8).

This Christmas season is when families gather together all across this great and beautiful country of ours. Take time to remember our heavenly Father's love.

Blagojevich and the Shape of Scandals to Come

It's only five weeks before Obama's inauguration, and already we have a big scandal. Are you curious at all to see if the drive-by-media will have the same bloodlust for David Axelrod as they did for poor Scooter Libby?

It won't be surprising if Axelrod is thrown under the bus like the rest of Obama's minions. It's the same-old same-old when Barack is caught in a lie. "I had no contact with the governor or his office, and so I was not aware of what was happening concerning any possible dealing about Blagojevich's appointment of a successor."

It again seems strange how disconnected Obama appears to be. Actually, it's unbelievable. He never remembers or knows a thing about the people he has dealings with, especially when they are found in compromising positions.

David Axelrod was asked if Obama had contact with Governor Blagojevich's office. Did they talk about his replacement in the Senate? Unfortunately, Obama's adviser appeared on Fox News on November 23 and said something very different than he now says. Axelrod's statement puts doubt in the mind of many Americans. What did Obama know and when did he know it?

Ironically, another statement was issued by Axelrod saying, "I was mistaken when I told an interviewer last month that the President-elect has spoken directly to Governor Blagojevich about the Senate vacancy. They did not then or at any time discuss the subject."

Surely Obama understood what Blagojevich was capable of doing. As it turned out, he had the gall to try to sell Illinois' U.S. senate seat to the highest bidder, while also trying to shake down others for money and political favors. Obama is a Chicago politician with friends that no one I know would associate with.

This week, Rev Jeremiah Wright was back in the news. That piece of information should send up more red flags. Get used to seeing Rev. Bigoted involved once again in Obama's life. It's a sure bet that he really never left. Everything we observed was a sheer facade for the election cycle.

Rahm Emanuel is another questionable character. He sends dead fish to his political enemies. He is well known for his profane, debasing language. He calls himself a practicing Jew. However, he does not seem to be concerned how others might perceive such a religious contradiction. Unfortunately, he is just one more thug known for being a vicious attack dog for the incoming president.

It's almost humorous when Democrats point to others while trying to blacken the eye of the Republican Party. The Speaker of the House continually refers to the GOP as the party of corruption. One might say Pelosi doth protest too much. Nothing can be more obnoxious than the Democrat Party's own corruptive faux pas. They have perfected the art of being bad to the bone.

Jesse Jackson, Jr., has been implicated in the Blagojevich scandal. In spite of his denials, he is probably lying through his teeth, just like his father. You'd have to be totally naive not to understand that Barack Obama, Rohm Emanuel, Jesse Jackson, Jr., and Blagojevich are political cronies. They are part of the notoriously tainted Chicago-Daley political machine.

Excerpts from The Associated Press: Ill. governor arrested in corruption scandal

"CHICAGO — Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich was arrested Tuesday on charges he brazenly conspired to sell or trade President-elect Barack Obama's vacant Senate seat to the highest bidder as part of what federal prosecutors called a 'political corruption crime spree.' A federal judge later ordered Blagojevich released on his own recognizance.

"Prosecutors did not accuse Obama himself of any wrong doing.

"Blagojevich also was charged with illegally threatening to withhold state assistance to Tribune Co., the owner of the Chicago Tribune, in an attempt to strong-arm the newspaper into firing editorial writers who had criticized him.

"The 51-year-old Democrat was also accused of engaging in pay-to-play politics — that is, doling out jobs, contracts and appointments in return for campaign contributions.

"'We were in the middle of a corruption crime spree, and we wanted to stop it,' U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald said, calling the charges against Blagojevich 'a truly new low.' He added: 'The conduct would make Lincoln roll over in his grave.

'"Federal investigators bugged the governor's campaign offices and tapped his home phone, capturing conversations laced with profanity and tough-guy talk from the governor. Chicago FBI chief Robert Grant said even seasoned investigators were stunned by what they heard, particularly since the governor had known for three years he was under investigation for alleged hiring fraud." For those who voted for the president elect, another scandal will not matter. They are full-blown ideologue Democrats who want big government handouts. Spreading the wealth around suits them just fine. Just as long as the Obamanites are kept happy, nothing will sway them from cheering as our country slumps deeper into a recession.

America will be torn asunder inside out, politically and socially. And to top it all off Pres, Barack Obama will hand us the egregious gift of Marxist-Socialism and a "corrupt regime."

Gov. Blagojevich, Rev. Wright, Father Plager, Tony Rezko, William Ayers, and Bernadine Dorne are just some of the people who are found knee-deep in Obama's cult of deception. Who else will we find there, after he is sworn into office?

Trust in the Right Thing, and Avoid the Stairway to Darkness

As President George W. Bush prepares to move to his beautiful new home in Texas, let me tell you about another home.

This particular house is considered one of the oddest homes in the entire world. The Winchester Mansion is located in San Jose, California, and sits on 160 acres of land. Although under construction for 38 years, it was never completed because its owner, Sarah Winchester, passed away in 1922.

Sarah had the home bustling constantly, under construction twenty-four hours, seven days a week. The home had one hundred and sixty rooms and probably would have had more if Sarah's life hadn't ended suddenly. The place started out as a simple eight-room house, but it was eventually converted into a multi-million-dollar estate.

It isn't the size of the house that makes this true story interesting. The house features some of the strangest construction known to architecture. For example, it has doors that lead to nowhere. Why? Sarah was driven to building the strange and enormous home by the ungodly spirit world.

Her home was built between 1884 and 1922. It contains modern plumbing and heating systems. There are three elevators, forty-seven fireplaces, and gas lighting throughout this unbelievable mansion. The rooms have gorgeous stained glass windows and very elaborate parquet flooring. Although there are no comparables available to place a value on the house, it must be worth a fortune.

The darkness of the occult

Sarah Winchester was the wife of William Winchester. William was the son of the man who made the Winchester repeating rifle. Sarah and William had one little girl, Annie, who unfortunately died six weeks after her birth.

Sarah continually grieved the loss of her child. Fifteen years later, we find poor Sarah weeping over her husband's death, caused by tuberculosis. She felt totally alone in the world. Because of her fears and sadness, she found herself at the doorstep of a well-known spirit medium. She believed that delving into Spiritualism might give her some answers. Of course, God was there, waiting to help Sarah, but she did not turn to Him.

However, what the spiritualist told Sarah was a bit unnerving. She was convinced that the souls of those who had been killed by the Winchester rifle were seeking retribution for their deaths, thus they sought to wreak terror on the entire Winchester family.

It was then that Sarah began holding séances to seek favor and try to make amends with them. Sarah was also told her daughter Annie and William's deaths may have appeared to have been caused by natural causes, but in reality they were killed by vengeful ghosts. These spirits would not rest in peace until the Winchester family had paid dearly for inventing the rifle. A special curse was put upon Sarah. As she conducted séances, visiting ghosts would tell her what to do. She was eventually driven insane before she died.

The other day, I heard a promo on KABC radio for a spiritualist who will be part of the station's regular format. She is taking phone calls throughout the evening hours. The Fox television network gave a psychic her own program. She claimed to be able to contact the dead. Also, she appeared as a guest several times on Fox's Red Eye. Everyone on the show thought she was extremely interesting. Perhaps they were having a George Noory moment.

Please don't take this subject lightly. Heed some good advice. Do not dabble in the darkness of the spiritual world. Spiritualists may believe that they have a gift, but is not from the Lord.

How do I know? The Bible makes it clear. With good reason, God warns us about the world of the supernatural.

Biblical warnings

Take a glance at what the Lord originally told the Israelites in the book of Deuteronomy:

There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, or one who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead. For all who do these things are an abomination to the Lord, and because of these abominations the Lord your God drives them out from before you. (Deuteronomy 18:10-12)

Séances and channeling are nothing new. Many ancient cultures had their own versions of the New Age movement. Channeling, crystals, séances, and astrology are as old as Methuselah.

The Creator God knew of the wickedness of such practices. The Bible records no instances of the dead coming back to speak to anyone. So if it's not the dead who are speaking to those who believe in such folly, then who is it? Spiritualism isn't a harmless game. It's not a figment of the imagination. If that were true, God would not have warned us away from it.

People who play in the occult usually find themselves hopelessly trapped. God's sternest warnings come with regard to having contact with "familiar spirits."

The book of Leviticus tells us,

A man or a woman who is a medium, or who has familiar spirits, shall surely be put to death; they shall stone them with stones. Their blood shall be upon them. (Leviticus 20:27)

Read your Bible. Learn what it says about those who have already died in the book of Ecclesiastes:

Also their love, their hatred, and their envy have now perished; nevermore will they have a share in anything done under the sun. (Ecclesiastes 9:6)

God's Word is abundantly clear. When somebody dies, they have nothing anymore to do with anything that takes place under the sun. Dead people do not return, according to scripture.

Trust in Christ

If you listen to what spiritualists say, you will never hear what He accomplished at the cross. And that is a very dangerous deception.

Christians don't need psychics or mediums or fortune-tellers. We have something much better. The prophet Isaiah says,

And when they say to you 'Seek those who are mediums and wizards, who whisper and mutter,' should not a people seek their God? Should they seek the dead on behalf of the living?

To the law and to the testimony! If they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them. (Isaiah 8:19-20)

There is a voice that speaks only the truth, and that is the still, small voice of the Holy Spirit. You can count on what He says. Jesus Christ came back from the dead. You can trust Him.

What are you building?

Sarah Winchester didn't want to see the dangerous trap that she was stepping into. And today, a massive, confusing home with staircases that lead to nowhere stands as a testimony to what heeding unclean spirits can do. Instead of using her wealth to help others, she squandered her money doing crazy things while under the sway of evil.

Incidentally, Sarah's house and the grounds are open to the public every day with the exception of Christmas. How ironic.

Those who embrace the Bible's promises will have a mansion in heaven. Ours is waiting for us, bought and paid for by the way of the old rugged cross. And best of all, we will reign with Jesus Christ forever and ever. Loved ones will never be missed again. Nor will there be any sad good-byes. Death will be vanquished. "Where, O death is your victory? Where, O death where is thy sting?" (1 Corinthians 15:55)

"And if I am going away to prepare a place for you, I will come back again and welcome you into my presence, so that you may be where I am." (John 14:3)

My question is a simple one: What are you building with your life? The choice is entirely yours. "But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD." (Joshua 24:15)

For Christians, Far More Than the Economy is at Stake in the Election

Christians founded this nation, and they will either save it or let fall into the hands of a Socialist-Marxist and his minions. By refusing to vote for Sen. John McCain, Christians will bear a huge portion of responsibility for abandoning their nation in its time of greatest need.

Only a massive turnout of every devout believer in Christ can turn this election around. We most certainly have the numbers to do the job. God fearing Christians who are willing to vote their faith can overturn the attempted theft of this election by the enemy.

The Democrats have let it be known that if and when they gain control of all three branches of government, they will do so for generations to come, by force if necessary.

I am positive that Socialist-Marxists will not let go without causing great social unrest once they have been in control for a time. The far left will take over our country and destroy it. Be prepared to do what is right before it's too late. Don't be overwhelmed by what appears to be an Obama victory. Act now. Put an end to this ominous threat.

The outcome of this election will say many things. One of the most profound is what it will say about the state of Christianity in this country. Specifically, the compromise of Christian beliefs will give rise to paganism, socialism, multiculturalism and various other -isms.

We are on the proverbial "thin edge of the wedge.

"We have witnessed the most aggressive litigations which have attacked our faith for years, yet not many Christians have been stirred up enough to do a thing about the eroding of our religious freedoms.

Open your eyes, Christian America. You've been undermined and lulled to sleep within your cloisters of Christian fellowship. Your lack of wisdom regarding political effects on matters of faith is stunningly appalling. As a result, we have been weakened.

This election is not just about the economy, but about the fate of our nation as it exists today.

If we are not careful, soon our churches will be forced to compromise the preaching of the full gospel message, as they have been in Canada, Britain and Scandinavia. What God's Word has to say about marriage and homosexuality will be considered hate speech. Christian radio will also be stifled not able to air God's truth on these extremely important topics.

Our churches will lose their tax exemptions because they'll refuse to accommodate and perform same sex marriages. Traditional Churches will close their doors before they are forced to obey the far reaching arms of the ACLU and those who legislate from the bench.

This is a clarion call. Who will be preaching to the multitudes? Denominations that have been radicalized by the far left, such as the National Council of Churches, that's who. Only those whose agenda it is to change our country's political and social mores will be left standing. They have already sown the seeds of deceit.

The United Church of Christ is the very same denomination as "God Damn America" Rev. Jeremiah Wright. He helped form Sen. Barack Obama's world views, both spiritually and politically. Read the handwriting on the wall. See what America will become if Obama is elected.

These denominations will have their doors wide open because they will be the status quos of the new laws that will be imposed upon our nation.

Christians, it is your last chance to make a stand for our faith. It is our last opportunity to hold back what is to come.

We must maintain "one nation under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all." Our country's fate is in our hands. Seize it. In a matter of a few days it will be all over. The election is more than just about the economy.

America Will Be Very Sorry

When all is said and done, if Sen. Barack Obama becomes President of the United States, I for one will not be celebrating. I know the real Obama; he is America's enemy, along with the party which has been bought and paid for by men like George Soros. He and other Socialist/Communist sympathizers hide themselves within the once honorable Democrat Party.

The specter of an Obama administration is foreboding. He is an odious person who wants to throw our country into Socialism. He is not apologetic for the truths he has hidden from us. Obama brings with him far left cronies and policies and seeks to usher in a new era of history hardly befitting an American president no matter what his race, creed or color.

America is on its way to becoming radicalized, infused with the philosophy and thoughts gleaned from Obama's many anti-American friends. The unrepentant terrorist professor, William Ayers, whose dreams will be fulfilled in an Obama administration, is but one of these. Many of our youth will become foot solders filled with anti-American thoughts. Our public schools and higher learning institutions have become bastions of far left ideology. Patriotism is no longer taught. However, unionized teachers see fit to wear Obama political pins in the classrooms.

Americans had their chance to see Barack Obama up close and personal while viewing him through the media and YouTube sermons featuring Rev. Jeremiah Wright and Rev. Otis Moss III of Trinity United Church. Yet too many chose to ignore these bigoted, despicable anti-American, anti-Semitic people while marching to the polls to vote in the primaries. They have allowed themselves to become "useful idiots," including Colin Powell.

There are few days left to turn from the course toward which America is headed. Our rights as citizens already have been compromised by out-and-out brazen voter fraud, funded partially by Obama's campaign. Obama has deep ties with ACORN. To this day he lies about his involvement with the organization that is attempting to steal the election. He was also heavily involved with the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac failures, another connection America fails to recognize.

The Democrats in Congress ignored President Bush's warnings when he first came into office, and many times thereafter. Bush did not recommend or sanction cooking the books as a way to help lower income citizens to own a home. Yet the media and the Democrat Party have managed to frame this issue and put the blame on the Republican Party and the president. In 2005 Sen. John McCain unsuccessfully tried to pass a bill that would reform these two government entities. The Democrats in Congress killed the bill. The Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac mismanagement is now a global fiscal problem.

If you think Americans are feeling discontentment for their government now, you need to understand what is yet to come. Political dirty dealings will become the norm within a bigger government. The Democrats could very well control the White House and the Congress, and eventually the Supreme Court. No one will be able to stop the far left radicalized Democrats from doing what they will with our country.

Some Americans feel that Obama inspires them, but how, and why? I do not hear people leaving his rallies singing "God bless America." It is apparent that the far left sees our country as consistently faulty and in desperate need of change. Everything is up for grabs, including social issues that concern embracing the sanctity of life. The fate of Iraq's democratic freedom is at also stake. Democrats want to pull out of Iraq and not allow our troops come home victorious.

Regaining Confidence After the Wall Street Earthquake

Our people in Congress who contributed to the Wall Street uncertainties must take their share of the blame. They have been exposed by new media pundits and conservative talk radio. The old drive-by-media will not be able to spin the culprits out of this problem. American voters have sufficient time to learn the truth before Election Day.

The people responsible for the fiscal mess lack good judgment, trustworthiness and character. We must extricate them and not allow their ilk into power again.

It is obvious that the Democrat party is not capable of exercising stewardship of our country in any capacity. They have become impacted by their own mean-spiritedness. Their intellect is stunted by an extreme liberal ideology; they are no longer able to aid their own country in time of war or peace.

For decades, Democrats have aggressively engaged in social engineering for their own political gains. They are guilty of using big government to do their dirty work. In the process, they hurt the minority people who unknowingly allow themselves to be taken advantage of.

America was not built upon socialism, and Americans don't want the Democrats' "two Americas." Everyone in this country can become whatever they desire with hard work and personal perseverance. We can no longer afford the Democrat's divisive ways.

As result of government intervention into our capitalist system, financial institutions many believed were invincible are in danger of collapsing. There is a simple lesson to be learned: We all must learn to live within our means. People bought homes without having sufficient funds to make their house payments. What happened to the gift of home ownership that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac supposedly gave them?

If people want a better status in life, they must earn it. Though we are responsible for our own lives as well as giving our neighbors a helping hand when needed, the onus is upon those who desire a better lifestyle to strive for it. America is at her best when watching others succeed. However, we create our own destiny with the choices we make in life, good or bad. There is always tomorrow to start anew.

No matter what befalls our great nation, we will recover and move forward. There are changes coming, and soon. John McCain and Sarah Palin will do some incredible house cleaning after they take office. These two humble mavericks will give America back to the people. Both deserve your vote because they have shown that they are willing to work for you. They are upright and dedicated.

Prepare yourselves. There will be more caterwauling from the Fifth column. But be assured that President McCain will not allow any more harm to our country or her people.

It is time for every citizen to come back to America. Patriotism is making a comeback along with a hockey mom who bakes a great apple pie. She is beautiful, intelligent and, if necessary, ready to be on stand-by for the president.

It is apparent that people are fed up with listening to those responsible for our fiscal debacle blame others. There awaits a monumental surprise for those who will not take their medicine for the current crisis in which we find ourselves. Indeed. Just hold on and wait until we vote come in November.

Middle America has already begun to rise up. They are voicing their common sense opinions. They see gutsy Republicans standing tough. Americans understand that we must take care of the mess we're in, but we are going to begin the process off on the correct path. The people are behind the Republicans who will not allow a bailout using the taxpayers' hard earned money foolishly.

As far back as 2003, The New York Times scolded President G. W. Bush for daring to bring the matter we are facing today to the fore. Bush warned congress of his deep concerns about the way Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac was doing business. The media had their agenda to peddle, and the warning that Bush heralded was never acted upon. Bush did not give license to those who would plunder our policies.

It is amazing that Sen. Barack Obama's Democrats blame President Bush and Senator John McCain for their own negligible actions. Since 9/11 our economy has been humming right along in spite of what took place on that unforgettable day, thanks to President Bush.

McCain wrote legislation in 2005 in an attempt to fix Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. The Democrats voted it down. The problems we face today will not be repeated under the leadership of President John McCain.

Despite the attempts and the warning that began in 2003, the abuse and waste of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac continued. There were those who tried to protect us with their wise and prudent counsel, but the Democrats in charge would not have anything to do with them.

President Bush reminded us that we are facing consequences, however, we are nowhere near what took place during the worldwide economic spiral that began in 1929 and ended in the early 1940's.

With the Almighty's help and two honest humble servants, America will regain her confidence. Deep down inside we are a people of pioneer stock, no matter where our ancestors originally came from. Every once in a while, we get to show our inbred goodness and fortitude. On days such as these there will be no exceptions.

Democrats Own the Financial Meltdown

New Media pundits have been forthright when presenting well-investigated stories concerning Barack Obama and John McCain. While the alphabet biased media fawned over Obama, who marketed himself as a candidate who transcends race and represented a new brand of politics, others looked for the truth.

As it turns out, the New Media found that Obama is just another disingenuous politician. He is a packaged and pretentiously scripted candidate created by the DNC. Obama's promises are nothing but the oily words of a swindler.

Appropriately, the facade has been stripped away by some of those who love their country. Conservative talk show hosts from across the USA have been peeling the blinders from the eyes of both parties' constituents. Great inroads have been made by patriots such as Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity. They have been revealing the Democrat's deepest darkest secrets to unprecedented numbers of Americans.

The mainstream media believed that the American voters had no insight as to what liberals were feeding them. However, Americans were beginning to put the pieces of the puzzle together, and did not like what they saw. Recent polls show that the media is not as effective as in the past.

The truth is now surfacing about Obama's political life. It stems from the old tainted Chicago political machine with its legendary negative entrapments and scandals. The Chicago political turf is the same today as it was under the deceased Mayor Richard M. Daley, Sr. Corruption and nefarious doings still loom large in Chicago politics.

It is about time that the Democrats clean up their party of dirty dealings. Two Republican mavericks are ready to do just that. They will help Americans give government back to the people, if enough of us are willing to take it.

While Obama talks the talk about greed on Wall Street, let's take a look at those who are running his campaign. Obama's top economic advisor helped bring down Fannie Mae. He shamelessly walked away with millions after he helped weaken the government-backed enterprise.

"Franklin Raines, Clinton's White House Budget Director, ran Fannie and collected $50 million." — Michael Reagan

Raines served at President Bill Clinton's pleasure as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Fannie Mae. However, he was forced to retire from the position due to corruption. An in-depth audit of Fannie Mae uncovered accounting irregularities that covered a four-year period of time. Raines could not defend the mishandling of funds.

The Democratic presidential nominee is also linked to other troublesome Illinois politicians. Bill Daley, who was the former U.S. Commerce Secretary, Senate President Emil Jones, and Gov. Rod Blagojevich. These political hacks have been scrutinized for having problematic dealings with certain businessmen and political power brokers.

Obama called Jones his "political godfather" and Rezko his "money man." There also appears to have been some nepotism concerning Blagojevich and Jones: Bill Daley is the brother of Chicago Mayor Richard Daley. Bill just so happens to be a lobbyist.

Watch out, America. We have listened to the Democrat's doublespeak for these past seven years, including their lies about our successes in Iraq. To this day, Obama has not given the Iraqi people any kudos for the magnificent job they have put forth to strengthen their own government's internal workings. Because of the omnipresence of General David Petraeus and of our brave troops, the Iraqi people hold fast to freedom. Today, America's troop reductions are taking place.

When our country staggers from economic blows, the Democrats and the media make situations sound worse than they really are. America's economy is solid, except for the Wall Street debacle, which appears to have been caused in a large measure by the Democrat Congress, including Barack Obama.

When America goes to the ballot box, they will remember Obama's fast-held relationship with Bill Ayers, the Co-founder of the Weather Underground. We will not forget his bigoted, immoral former pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright. His actions and words should be emblazoned upon every voter's mind.

We've seen this political year turn into a racial divide caused by Obama himself. He sat in an anti- America, anti- Semitic Afrocentric church of Christ for twenty years. Obama called Rev. Jeremiah Wright a legitimate political issue. His surrogates further insult us by saying that if Obama loses the presidency, America is a racist country, when it will be his far left politics that Middle America find unappealing rather than the color of his skin.

Come Election Day, on November the 4th, Senator John McCain and Sarah Palin will be given the mandate of the American people. May God continue to bless two authentic reforming mavericks that actually put America first.

Sarah Palin and Middle America Share Religious Beliefs

As the "drive-by-media" continues to look at every aspect of Sarah Palin's personal and religious life, they are digging themselves into a big hole, turning what they believe will cause her harm, to work for her good. If you take nothing else from this, remember this quote: Bitter Pennsylvanians "cling to their guns and religion." — Barack Obama

Reporters for CNN and other networks are not prepared to write honestly or objectively about matters of faith. These are people who view life from a much different perspective. They are not so naive to overlook that Christians from all denominations are offended by such things as CNN's hit piece about Gov. Palin's faith.

The mass media and the Obama camp want to paint a ridiculous picture of Christians who refuse to embrace progressive liberal doctrine. Atheist George Soros ingratiates leftist denominations with his money. The teachings of the "Religious Left" have little to do with the Gospel of the Holy Bible.

The National Council of Churches is unorthodox to say the least. Most of their churches promote homosexuality and abortion on demand. Senator Obama attended such a church for twenty years, a church with no moral constraints. The congregation's "faith" is fueled by angry, bigoted, anti-Semitic, anti-American, hate filled sermons.

It is apparent that the prejudiced media wants us to believe that a mainstream denomination such as the Assemblies of God can be compared to the church of "God Damn America." Pentecostals preach a traditional interpretation of the scriptures. There is no Marxist Black Liberation theology taught within their sanctuaries, nor any other quasi-political or racist dogma.

The vicious attacks by the DNC towards the Republican female Vice-Presidential candidate are overwhelming, and speak volumes about the Obama campaign. Their recent remarks more than smack of sexism. Obama continues to get a pass from the agenda-driven media who worships at the altar of liberalism. Our nation, however, was founded upon Judeo-Christian beliefs.

The preamble of our constitution states:

"We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence,[1] promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."

Americans are becoming more and more aware that the people whose job it is to bring us the news have been politically in the tank for the far left wing of the Democrat Party. As shown by recent polls, their credibility with the public is falling.

It is pathetic that CNN would go to the Assemblies of God Church with a team of reporters and cameras for skullduggery. Sarah Palin now attends the Wasilla Bible Church. Her church, as well as all other Protestant Evangelical churches, are strong supporters of the state of Israel. No doubt that this further disqualifies Palin in the eyes of these Marxists.

Whether you are a Baptist, Catholic, Lutheran, Episcopalian or Presbyterian, you understand biblical teachings, the gifts of the Holy Spirit, and believe in the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

News Flash (no pun intended): Practicing Christians understand the WORD. We may differ in our style of worship, but that is where the difference stops.

Protestants, Catholics, Jews and Mormons — particularly in America — all have a heritage of faith that respects one another. We are tolerant of all religious beliefs. It is time for the media to do likewise.

Their latest talking points expose the lack of their constituent's knowledge about the role of Christ's earthly ministry. Christ came to redeem all mankind, not organize a Chicago community.
The Wall Street Journal reported that the Democrats sent more than thirty lawyers and researchers to Alaska solely for the purpose of trying to find dirt on Sarah Palin. This effort and the media's attacks on Palin's religious beliefs will only further erode the Obama campaign.

Two Mavericks for the Price of One: McCain and Palin

While Republican conservatives were looking at Govs. Mitt Romney and Tim Pawlenty to fill the VP slot for Sen. John McCain, there was a distant buzz. Another name was floating around.

The day after Barack Obama gave his convention speech at Denver's Invesco Field, which was brimming with tens of thousands of enthusiastic Democrats, there came a stunning announcement. John McCain selected the first Republican woman VP candidate, Sarah "Baracuda" Palin.

The Democrat's big night was blunted. The airwaves were filled with the news of the newcomer who would be welcomed in Dayton, Ohio, one day after the anniversary of the 19th Amendment to the Constitution, granting women the right to vote. Gov. Palin's name would change the presidential race in 2008.

Senator McCain made his announcement at Nutter Center with its exuberant crowd of 12,000 Republicans. He proudly named Alaska Gov. Palin to be his running mate. He introduced the very attractive looking forty-four year old at a hometown type rally with a touch of old fashion Americana.

"My friends and fellow Americans, I am very pleased and very privileged to introduce to you the next vice president of the United States, Governor Sarah Palin of the great state of Alaska." — Senator McCain

Gov. Palin is a "can do" independent thinking woman who does not always go along with group-think. She'll take on political corruption in Washington, D.C. There is nothing pretentious about her. She is a bright, intelligent, common sense person who will help McCain bring about the change we've all been hearing about.

Palin is the perfect compliment VP for McCain. Her physical beauty radiates from within. In 1984 she was a runner-up for Miss Alaska. I'll liken her to Ester in the Bible, who was also a maverick.

With charm and poise, she is an upbeat energetic positive public speaker. The new VP pick is a graduate from the University of Idaho with a B.S. in Communications and Journalism.

Kudos to McCain who has chosen a winning ticket that America can feel good about. As the days swiftly go by we will have the opportunity to become acquainted with her.

Way to go Sarah. Your life is an open book. You and your family face the same struggles that many Christian parents must tackle when raising children in a society that is bombarded with the very liberal Pop Culture that glorifies pre-marital sex.

It must be understood that McCain knew of Bristol's pregnancy when he selected Palin as his running mate last week. We wish her daughter's upcoming nuptials blessings and God's speed.

With Palin's name on the GOP ticket it brings a stark contrast when it comes to matters of life and death. Although Republicans understand that not all Americans are in agreement on the abortion issues facing our country today, most want "their parental rights" given back to them that have been legislated away.

Planned Parenthood has sway over our children. Get smart and understand what the media, who carries the water for the Democrats, is trying to do to Sarah Palin's seventeen year old daughter. Shame on those for denigrating this young lady for having her child instead of aborting it, while belittling her family's convictions.

The ticket of McCain and Palin are strong abortion opponents. That can not be said about Barack Obama, who embraces infanticide, or Joe Biden, who professes to be a Catholic and should know better, adhere to a women's right to choose, "Oh Ye of Little Faith." (Matthew 16:8)

Meanwhile, no matter what the daily political news may bring us, nothing changes these facts. Obama continues to associate himself with people that Middle America would not give the time of day to. Obama took money from a slum lord and rewarded him with special favors. To this very day, Obama calls American born un-repented terrorists his friends. He argues that Bill Ayres and his notorious wife are mainstream. Go figure?

Yes, the "God Damn America" Rev. Jeremiah Wright lurks nearby along with all the other Chicago thugs that President Bill Clinton eluted to during the week of the Democrat Convention. Is Obama the of man we deserve to be our president? No.

Conservative talk show hosts might feel reluctant to say it, but I will not shirk my duty to inform others. Obama is not a nice person. He is a cunning man and an absolute fake. "If it were possible he would fool even the most elect." (Matthew 24:24)

Since Gov. Palin was chosen, the conservative base is charged and ready to get out the vote. Yes, we have finally secured the winning ticket. It is the politically right people who are the backbone of America's society, and they will make their voices known with their vote. We embrace and choose life.

Our base will become very vocal about being pro-life. God bless Sarah Palin, the mother of five. Her new baby born in April is a Down syndrome child. Little baby Trig is precious. Conservative Christians understand innocent life is a God given blessing.

Come this November millions of born again Evangelicals, practicing Catholics, along with devout Mormons and Orthodox Jews, will defeat those who call themselves the religious Left. Progressives are beholden to their divisive ideology and political policies.

Americans were given great insight to the fallacies and deceptions of liberal religiosity and their culture of death. We owe thanks to Pastor Rick Warren, who did our nation a great service by holding the Civil Forum at the Saddleback Church in California. Obama did not do very well with theological questions, which most of us learned in Bible class. It was above his pay grade.

We have two mavericks that can "hold back the four winds of strife," that will surely come if we sit at home. Unbridled liberalism has allowed our nation to be undermined and degraded.

For the two full terms of the Bush presidency, Democrats in the legislative halls sought to destroy America's will to win in Iraq and continue the fight against the war on terror. We have had just about enough.

God has always had a people who hear His voice. Liberal Marxist-Socialism will not take root in the greatest nation which was founded on Judeo-Christian beliefs.

We will reject those who openly try to harm the greatest nation that has ever existed. Come election day, we will diminish the power of the Fifth Column, which includes the media. Our vote and our voices are powerful.

With the horrendous storms that struck the Gulf Coast, Americans saw a sensitive response from those in attendance at the GOP Convention.

Be prepared because storms will always be part of human life. An emergency watch is facing our nation in more ways than one. We need to get behind two experienced mavericks who are ready to serve and lead our nation, McCain and Palin.

Now That's the Ticket: McCain and Romney

We will soon know who the Democrat and Republican vice-presidential candidates will be. Who will Sen. John McCain pick to stand beside him? Although to some it is doubtful, will Mitt Romney be his choice?

Common sense almost dictates that "the candidate Republicans should be clamoring for is the one liberals are most feverishly denouncing. That is Mitt Romney by a landslide." — Ann Coulter

Evangelical Christians have been aware of the dirge sung by those who, for whatever reason, wish to exclude Romney from consideration for the VP post on the Republican ticket. Very well-crafted words are being used to try to induce Evangelicals to withhold their votes from this very qualified man because of his (Mormon) faith.

Political pundits have broken down some of these misconceptions. Romney's conservatism is accepted among Evangelicals. His experiences as a businessman are appealing in today's weak economy. His years of successfully working within the global economy demonstrate his knowledge of how markets work. He would strengthen the ticket in light of McCain's perceived weakness on economic issues.

"I'd Pick Romney' as McCain's Running Mate." — Karl Rove

Romney has allies within the Republican Party. Still it is disquieting to hear questions that should have been put to rest once again being regurgitated by Romney detractors. While running for the nomination, Romney gave an outstanding speech that clearly addressed matters of faith and his stance on moral issues. He awed us with his heartfelt departure speech, and left graciously, putting his country first. In short, he is an extremely attractive candidate.

Apparently some Evangelical pastors won't cease their whisperings to the press. We get it. They are promoting Huckabee over Romney for the vice-presidency. It matters not how their opinions could dissuade voters from McCain.

If President Bush was practically tarred and feathered by progressive Democrats for his Christian beliefs, how might an outspoken and often comical character like Michael Huckabee be perceived if he became the VP nominee? Only naivete would facilitate one believing that the media would allow Huckabee's verbal blunders to go unnoticed. They embraced him once, but if he were to play a pivotal role as McCain's running mate, the gloves would come off.

During a speech in Louisville, Kentucky, Huckabee joked about a loud bang that was heard off-stage "That was Barack Obama," Huckabee quipped, "He Just tripped off a chair. He was getting ready to speak. Somebody aimed a gun at him and him...he dove for the floor." Watch the Video

Evidently, the sabotaging of a God-fearing Mormon is more important to the aforementioned Evangelical pastors than a win for the Republican Party in the fall. They overlook that there will be Supreme Court positions up for grabs during the next four years.

If we want to maintain civility during these late stages of this important campaign, it is incumbent upon Mr. Huckabee's surrogates to tone down the rhetoric regarding the selection of a VP candidate. What we don't need is a continual drone of discontent in the event Romney is chosen.

It should be noted, that when people choose not to vote, they put their nation in jeopardy. Those conservatives and Evangelicals who threaten to withhold their votes if they don't get their way are being infantile. We will never regain what will be lost in the Supreme Court if the Democrats take the White House.

"They say Mr. Romney lacks trust on issues such as outlawing abortion and opposing same-sex marriage and because he is a Mormon. Opposition is particularly powerful among those who supported former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee in the Republican presidential primaries earlier this year.

"Other well-placed Christian conservatives say that although many evangelical leaders could accept and work for a McCain-Romney ticket, Mr. Huckabee's supporters tend to be 'rabid' in their views against Mr. Romney because of his faith: They do not regard Mormonism as a Christian denomination." Where the rubber meets the road, Evangelical Christians have more in common with those of the Mormon faith than we could ever have with the "religious left" who think nothing of the slaughtering of unborn babies as well as champion the gay agenda.

Obama has chosen to align himself with an aberrant cult that stands in stark contrast with the words of The Almighty. Thus, important moral issues have become sullied, such as the sanctity of life; when life begins seems to be too complicated for them to grasp. The issue of a one-man one-woman marriage also confounds them. Such congregants would rather have their ears tickled than allow the truth to enter their hearts.

Christians should not be complacent about the issues of the world. We were told to "occupy until he comes." (Luke 19:13) We must stay engaged so we can vote with intelligence.

As a Judeo-Christian nation, let us read His Word, and with Holy boldness go forth in faith. God has given us the intelligence and discernment to choose the right men to lead this great and blessed nation.
