If you're interested in getting some information about what's going on in Israel and Gaza--you know, beyond the Israel-bashing, "terrorists are victims" crap you get from the "mainstream" media--the Israeli Defense Force has now entered the Web 2.0 age.
The have a blog called IDF Spokesperson where you can catch some of the latest updates about the war against terrorism in the Middle East--specifically as it affects Israel.
The IDF also has a YouTube channel where you can view footage of some of the IDF precision strikes against terrorist strongholds. Unlike the terrorists who intentionally target innocent civilians, the IDF does everything it can to minimize noncombatant casualties.
An interesting post at the IDF blog yesterday points out the number of rockets and mortars fired against Israel since 2005.
In 2007 alone, there were more than 2,500!
Forget for a moment our peaceful relations with Canada and Mexico. Imagine 2,500 rocket and mortar attacks along the U.S. border in the last year.
Imagine rocket and mortar attacks along Washington State, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas. Imagine the property damage, the fear, the injuries, and the lives lost to these attacks. Since the borders of these states are immensely larger than Israel's borders, imagine these 2,500 attacks spread along the border Vermont.
Or if it's easier to imagine, think of Cuba lobbing 2,500 mortars and rockets at Florida over the past year.
Would we stand idly by and twiddle our thumbs as many demand Israel do? Would we expect our leaders to negotiate with these attackers as many demand Israel do? Would we think of these attackers as "victims" and blame the targets of these attacks as many do Israel?
Or would we do as we did after 911--as any decent and self-respecting nation would do--and retaliate with decisive force to remove the threat and disinvite future attacks?
For too long the West has sought to restrain Israel from defending herself. We are Israel's chief ally; it's time we started acting like it. It's time we got out of their way and let them bring the majority of Middle East terrorism to an end--by boldly demonstrating that it will not be tolerated, and will be met with crippling retaliation.
That is the only way to deal with evil, fanatical forces who are determined to annihilate you. Too many innocent civilians have died in the name of "civility" and "talks" and "negotiations." The job of ending terrorism is long overdue.

Terrorists are Victims
How dare the Israelis defend themselves against terrorism! How dare the Israelis defend themselves against rocket attack!
The kind of total and utter lies and revisionism belched out by Diana Buttu are standard operating procedure.
The only thing about this interview that isn't SOP is that it occurred on Fox News, where these revisionist lies were challenged for a change. Most of the "mainstream" media is simply happy to put a sympathetic arm around the terrorist aggressors and wag a finger at bad ole' Israel.
People like Buttu rely on the axiom that if you speak a lie loud enough long enough, people will accept it as the truth.

Outrage Follows Christmas Address by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad

By Aaron J. Leichman
Christian Post Reporter
Sat, Dec. 27 2008 09:28 AM EST
The holiday message delivered by Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad for Britain's Channel 4 television station drew a wide range of critics this week.
Although each year Channel 4 features an often controversial counterpoint to Queen Elizabeth II's traditional annual message, many disagreed with the network’s selection of Ahmadinejad, who denies the Holocaust, advocates the destruction of the sovereign state of Israel, and executes children.
"Outrage doesn't begin to explain it,” commented Ron Prosor, the Israeli ambassador to London.
In Ahmadinejad’s message Thursday, the Iranian head of state didn’t refer to rival nations or leaders by name but said Jesus Christ would undoubtedly “stand with the people in opposition to bullying, ill-tempered and expansionist powers.”
"If Christ were on earth today, undoubtedly He would hoist the banner of justice and love for humanity to oppose warmongers, occupiers, terrorists and bullies the world over,” he said, according to the English translation of the Farsi-language speech.
"If Christ were on earth today, undoubtedly He would fight against the tyrannical policies of prevailing global economic and political systems, as He did in His lifetime," he added.
Following the broadcast, the Board of Deputies of British Jews, which represents the Jewish community in the United Kingdom, expressed how offensive the Christmas Day message was.
"To invite him to deliver a Christmas message, even a so-called alternative one, fills me with disgust," the group's president, Henry Grunwald, told The Associated Press.
Channel 4 was "aiding and abetting a tyrant," added British human rights campaigner Peter Tatchell.
"This is the equivalent of giving [Zimbabwean ruler] Robert Mugabe a prime-time television slot to promote his propaganda," he said.
In response to the outcry against Ahmadinejad’s inclusion in this year’s broadcast, Dorothy Byrne, Channel 4's head of news and current affairs, said the Iranian president was picked because he is “enormously influential” as the leader of one of the most powerful states in the Middle East.
“As we approach a critical time in international relations, we are offering our viewers an insight into an alternative world view," Byrne told the press.
Since 1993, Channel 4 has broadcast an "Alternative Christmas message" featuring a contemporary celebrity delivering a message in the manner of Britain’s queen. Past message presenters include activist the Rev. Jesse Jackson, a Scottish male comedian playing Princess Diana (less than a year before her death), a celebrity chef, and Marge Simpson from The Simpsons cartoon series.
Byrne said Ahmadinejad’s message Thursday continued "a long tradition of offering a different perspective on the world around us."

Wright, Ayers Crawl Out of their Hole
Now that the election has passed, I see that Barack Obama's racist anti-American pastor Jeremiah Wright and his anti-American terrorist associate Bill Ayers have crawled out of whatever hole they were kept in to keep them quiet.
In the Fox News story below, it is said that Wright claims the "media" tried to use him against Obama. What a joke!
Ayers is also engaging in some serious historical revision, making himself sound oh-so-innocent. His idols Lenin and Stalin would be proud!
The "mainstream" media tried to keep both of these nuts buried and quiet; they only reason word got out at all on Obama's radical, America-hating friends at all was because the new media created such a buzz about it, and some of the coverage that Fox News gave it.
Perhaps that's what Wright means, because most of the others (ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, PBS, NPR, the New York Times, the Washington Post, the LA Times, et al) didn't do a whole lot of coverage.
A couple of notable exceptions were that CNN did actually do an expose on Ayers.
Fox News reporter Jesse Waters attempted to interview the Marxist Bill Ayers, but Ayers wouldn't talk to him and called the police (you know, the police Ayers bombed back in his active terrorist days) to get the reporter off his front doorstep (I didn't think Marxists liked private property rights).
And I'll give kudos for ABC also giving it one unsuccessful shot.
But the issue of Obama's associations with people who viscerally hate the United States certainly didn't get a fraction of the attention it deserved.
The proof of this was found post-election when we saw John Ziegler's video and the Zogby poll results. We found that while many Obama voters knew all the inaccurate slander on John McCain and especially Sarah Palin, they were almost entirely ignorant of the very real and accurate dirt on Barack Obama and Joe Biden.
But the damage is done, now. We have elected a man who associates with a domestic terrorist who bombed numerous buildings and remains unrepentant for his anti-American acts. We have elected a man who sat under the preaching for 20 years of a man who holds pure disdain for non-blacks and loathes America.
We will soon begin to find out what we have done to our country.

24: Jack is Back
If you're a fan of the high-energy, bad-guy-blasting 24, you might enjoy this interview from Sky News with Kiefer Sutherland who plays chief bad-guy slayer Jack Bauer.
24 has been running for seven seasons now (doesn't seem that long), with Jack Bauer stopping terrorists from destroying America at every turn. A couple of weeks ago Fox showed a 2-hour "24" TV movie in preparation as a lead-in for the new season of 24 coming in January.
24:Redemption had Jack hiding in Africa from some of the bad guys in our government, but trouble found him there as well. Sounds like he'll be going back to the States in January to fight bad guys once more.

Video: A Look at a Flight 93 Terrorist.
This video about Zia Jara, one of the 911 hijackers, was just released on NBC. It was shot a year or more before the September 11, 2001 attack. Why NBC just now received and is airing this video (as President Bush is on his way out the door) is unclear.
This is one of the terrorists who went down with Flight 93 into a field in Pennsylvania. Due to the heroism of the passengers of Flight 93, untold hundreds of Americans lives--probably in Washington D.C.--were saved.
Let us never forget that what a lack of seriousness and determination can entice our enemies to do.

Obama Associate Bill Ayers: We Ought to Abolish Prisons
Barack Obama's terrorist associate Bill Ayers says some interesting things in this short video.
He regrets dedicating his terrorist manifesto Prairie Fire to Robert F. Kennedy-assassin Sirhan Sirhan...but denies doing it even though he regrets it.
He also says, "We ought to abolish the prisons."
I guess there are no bad people in Ayers world (except rich people and capitalists).
If we follow his advice, we should ship every one of the ex-prisoners to Ayers neighborhood and let them live next to him.

Unrepentant Terrorist 'Jubilant' At Obama's Election
This video features terrorist Bill Ayers and his bomber-babe Bernadine Dohrn about their "jubilant" reaction to Barack Obama's election.
On one hand, I find it educating and illustrative that an unrepentant domestic terrorist who remains dedicated to Marxism and the destruction of the United States is so jubilant at the election of Barack Obama to the presidency.
On the other hand, I have to strongly wonder why the media is asking this avowed enemy of our country any questions other than the ones reporter Jesse Waters attempted to ask Ayers:
"Mr Ayers, do you want to take this opportunity to apologize for your terrorist acts?"
"Don't you think it's time for some repentance?"
Until Ayers can answer these in the affirmative, he has nothing useful and positive to tell the American people.

Terrorist Bill Ayers Interview on ABC
Below is the video of domestic terrorist Bill Ayers on Good Morning America.(To the left is a pic of Ayers in a 2001 NYT article doing what he does best: trampling the American flag)
In the ABC interview, he admits having served on boards with Barack Obama, having helped launch Obama's career in his living room, and that Obama was a "family friend."
If you happened to have heard any of the minuscule "mainstream" media coverage of Obama's association with this Marxist anti-American terrorist, you might know that Ayers helped found the Weather Underground terrorist group that bombed the U.S. Capitol, the Pentagon, along with several court houses and police stations.
Ayers even said on September 11, 2001--the day terrorists killed nearly 3,000 Americans--that "I don't regret setting bombs. I feel we didn't do enough."
He is now trying to distance himself from this statement since his buddy is headed for the White House, but he actually said it. You can read a quote of Ayers saying that here at the New York Times.
You can find out what Bill Ayers believes from his terrorist manifesto "Prairie Fire" here.
Ayers lists some of the places his organization bombed in Prairie Fire:
- Haymarket police statue, Chicago
- Chicago police cars
- New York City police headquarters
- Marin County Courthouse
- Long Island City Courthouse
- Department of Corrections, San Francisco
- Office of California Prisons, Sacramento
- Department of Corrections, Albany NY
- 103rd Precinct of New York City police
- Harvard Center for International Affairs
- U.S. Capitol
- MIT research center
- The Pentagon
- Draft and recruiting centers
- ROTC buildings
- ITT Latin America Headquarters
- National Guard Headquarters, Washington D.C.
- Presidio Army Base and MP Station, San Francisco
- Federal Offices of Health, Education and Welfare, San Francisco
This is what Ayers thinks of your country, Americans:
We are a guerrilla organization. We are communist women and men, underground in the United States for more than four years. We are deeply affected by the historic events of our time in the struggle against U.S. imperialism.
Our intention is to disrupt the empire, to incapacitate it, to put pressure on the cracks, to make it hard to carry out its bloody functioning against the people of the world, to join the world struggle, to attack from the inside.
Our intention is to engage the enemy, to wear away at him, to harass him, to isolate him, to expose every weakness, to pounce, to reveal his vulnerability.
And though Ayers doesn't bomb buildings anymore, his hatred of America hasn't changed. Just this year, he has railed against capitalism and the United States on his blog.
I don't know about you, but I don't associate with people who are radically opposed to what I hold dear, or who love things I despise. Do you?
Are we really to believe that our president-elect is so different in his sentiments than Bill Ayers?
Of his friendship and association with Obama, Ayers says, "I don't buy the idea that guilt by association should have any part of our politics."
Really?
American voter, would you vote for a business associate and family friend of Osama bin Laden?
American voter, would you vote for a business associate and family friend of Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh?
What have we done, America?
Post Election, Terrorist Ayers Admits Obama a 'Family Friend'
The "mainstream" media worked pretty hard to keep Barack Obama's association with domestic terrorist Bill Ayers quiet during the election.
But now that it's over, we see a candid admission in the Chicago Sun-Times from Ayers that, yes, they did work together and yes, they were friends and yes, he did help launch Obama's political career in his house.
A little more than the "guy in my neighborhood" that Obama said he was.
From the Chicago Sun-Times yesterday:
Ayers, a professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago, adds few new details about his relationship with Obama in the afterword to Fugitive Days: Memoirs of an Anti-War Activist. The book is being reissued this month.
“We had served together on the board of a foundation, knew one another as neighbors and family friends, held an initial fund-raiser at my house, where I’d made a small donation to his earliest political campaign,” he writes.
Now Ayers is claiming he didn't really say what he said on 911:
"I don't regret setting bombs. I feel we didn't do enough."
Really?
Sorry, Mr. Ayers, I know that Marxists like you love to revise history but you just don't get to in this case.
Here is a link to a New York Times article published September 11, 2001 in which Ayers is quoted by Dinitia Smith making this statement.
So, America: how does it feel having elected a president who is the "family friend" of an unrepentant domestic terrorist who helped launch the president-elects political career in his living room?

More From the 'Are You Surprised' File
You're not surprised, are you?
From WorldNetDaily:
JERUSALEM – The Hamas terrorist group believes the election of Sen. Barack Obama is an "historic victory" for the world and an opportunity to change U.S. foreign policy toward engagement with America's foes, Ahmed Yousef, Hamas' chief political adviser in the Gaza Strip, told WND in an exclusive interview today.
Yousef, speaking by cell phone from Gaza, said Hamas is drafting a letter of congratulation to be sent tomorrow directly to Obama. He said the current draft of the letter praises the president-elect as "another John F. Kennedy, or great Roosevelt."
"We want to be one of the first to congratulate him," Yousef said.
"This is an historic day, a turning point. I think this is the very first time in history that one country's election concerned everyone everywhere all over [the] world," said Yousef. "Everybody is looking forward to Obama's change, for a change in the U.S. policy, particularly in the Israeli-Palestinian equation, which is the mother of all conflicts."
Terrorist endorsement of a U.S. president-elect.
You asked for it, America...you got it.

Obama Supporter: Obama Lacked Courage to Leave Racist Church
According to Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-NY), the reason Barack Obama stayed in Rev. Jeremiah Wright's hate-filled church for 20 years wasn't because he agreed with all this hate; Obama just lacked the courage to leave.
From WorldNetDaily:
"Think of the history here. You have a guy who's half-white, half-black. He goes to an Ivy League school, comes to Chicago ... to start a political career. Doesn't know anybody.
"Gets involved with community organizing – why? Because that's how you form a base. OK. Joins the largest church in the neighborhood. About 8,000 members. ... Why did he join the church? ... Because that's how you get to know people.
"Now maybe it takes a couple years," states Nadler, claiming eventually Obama begins to view Wright differently. "'Jesus, the guy's a nut, the guy's a lunatic.' But you don't walk out of a church with 8,000 members in your district."
"He didn't have the political courage to make the statement of walking out," Nadler said of Obama.
You know, this explanation has a lot of merit. I really couldn't think of another reason why Obama would stay in such a racist, anti-American church--not just for "a couple of years" but for 20 years--like this...unless he stayed because he agreed with these racist, anti-American sentiments.
Given that Obama is surrounded by anti-American associates like the domestic terrorist Bill Ayers, PLO spokesman Rashid Khalidi, Ali Abunimah and others, maybe Obama fit in there better than we know. After all, terrorist organizations like Hamas and al-Qaida think pretty highly of him.
But even if Nadler is right and Obama just lacked the "political courage" to leave this hate-spewing church, what would such a huge lapse in courage bode for a President Obama on the national scene.
Would President Obama lack the political courage to oppose terrorist organizations like al-Qaida and Hamas? Would he have trouble summoning the courage to protect the U.S. from threats like Iran? Could he overcome his naive predilection to talk with America's enemies without precondition?
Could he get over the fear of hurting the feelings of his terrorist allies?
Words don't mean squat without tangible acts to back them up. What does Obama's history tell you about how he would handle America's enemies?
That's a question Americans need to consider first and foremost before pulling the lever tomorrow.

A New Look at Prairie Fire, the Bill Ayers Terrorist Manifesto
Fox News is now reporting on domestic terrorist Bill Ayers' terrorist manifesto Prairie Fire.
Ayers is the Weather Underground terrorist who bombed the U.S. Capitol, the Pentagon, several police stations and court houses and many other locations.
He also hired Barack Obama to work on the Annenberg Challenge in Chicago, an organization Ayers helped create. They also worked on the board of the Woods Fund together.
Ayers also held a meet-and-greet in his home for Obama to help launch Obama's political career for the Illinois senate many years ago.
Last week, and investigative website called Zombietime found a copy of Prairie Fire, the book Ayers and his fellow Weathermen wrote during their terrorist years, and posted large scans of the text on his website.
Now Fox News is reporting on the book (see below). While the book contains an incredible amount of controversial information, Fox centers in on the dedication page which lists Sirhan Sirhan, Robert F. Kennedy's assassin.
Now, some people on the Left may not have a problem with Ayers anti-American rantings and terrorist bombings against our country, but Bobby Kennedy has for decades been a beloved icon of all Americans--especially on the Left. Certainly this will offend even liberals.
But this book contains terrorist, Marxist, anti-American writings that should make the blood of any red-blooded American boil.
The book clearly states the intentions of Ayers and his Marxists:
We need a revolutionary communist party in order to lead the struggle, give coherence and direction to the fight, seize power, and build the new society.
The book also has a list of some of the places Ayers and his terrorist organization bombed around America:
- Haymarket police statue, Chicago
- Chicago police cars
- New York City police headquarters
- Marin County Courthouse
- Long Island City Courthouse
- Department of Corrections, San Francisco
- Office of California Prisons, Sacramento
- Department of Corrections, Albany NY
- 103rd Precinct of New York City police
- Harvard Center for International Affairs
- U.S. Capitol
- MIT research center
- The Pentagon
- Draft and recruiting centers
- ROTC buildings
- ITT Latin America Headquarters
- National Guard Headquarters, Washington D.C.
- Presidio Army Base and MP Station, San Francisco
- Federal Offices of Health, Education and Welfare, San Francisco
Here is how Ayers and his fellow Weathermen terrorist described the turmoil and unrest of the 1960s, what they planned to do in it and how they planned to exploit it:
The unique and fundamental condition of this time is the decline of U.S. imperialism. Our society is in social and economic crisis and assumptions about the U.S. are turned on their heads. These are hard conditions to live through. But they are favorable for the people and for revolution.
These conditions of constant change demand the weapon of theory. Like people everywhere, we are analyzing how to bring to life the potential forces which can destroy U.S. imperialism.
Our intention is to encourage the people, to provoke leaps in confidence and consciousness, to stir the imagination, to popularize power, to agitate, to organize, to join in every way possible the people's day-to-day struggles.
Our intention is to forge an underground, a clandestine political organization engaged in every form of struggle, protected from the eyes and weapons of the state, a base against repression, to accumulate lessons, experience and constant practice, a base from which to attack.
Does their language sound anything at all like the kind of class-envy garbage you've been hearing out of the Left for some time now:
Our job is to tap the discontent seething in many sectors of the population, to find allies everywhere people are hungry or angry, to mobilize poor and working people against imperialism
You hear this kind of drivel constantly from Democrats, only cleaned up just a little better.
Ayers and his ilk love nothing more than to see America humiliated, on the ropes and defeated:
Our final goal is the destruction of imperialism, the seizure of power, and the creation of socialism. Our strategy for this stage of the struggle is to organize the oppressed people of the imperial nation itself to join with the colonies in the attack on imperialism. This process of attacking and weakening imperialism involves the defeat of all kinds of national chauvinism and arrogance; this is a precondition to our fight for socialism.
There is more, far more, in Prairie Fire.
Stop and consider for a moment that Barack Obama allowed this America-hating terrorist help launch his political career in his living room. That Barack Obama worked with this man on the board of the Annenberg Challenge and the Woods Fund. That they sat together on panels like the one over juvenile justice.
Barack Obama has a clear pattern of associating with people who despite the United States.
How can we possibly consider electing someone with this wretched judgment (and possibly questionable sympathies) to the presidency?
"Revolutionary war will be complicated and protracted. It includes mass struggle and clandestine struggle, peaceful and violent, political and economic, cultural and military, where all forms are developed in harmony with the armed struggle. Without mass struggle there can be no revolution. Without armed struggle there can be no victory."
Rashid Khalidi, the PLO Spokesman Obama Praised, Runs from Cameras
Why do all of Barack Obama's terrorist friends run when the cameras come around?
They seem like cockroaches: shine a light on them and they scurry for cover. They seem to like darkness where their deeds go unidentified by most people.
Fox News tried to interview Rashid Khalidi (see video below), the Palestine Liberation Organization spokesman whom Barack Obama praised at a dinner.
The Los Angeles Times has a video of this dinner, but won't release it.
We know from the LA Times story on this event that Obama had good words for the spokesman of the terrorist PLO organization. But if they are stonewalling on releasing the tape, what else--possibly even more damning--would it tell us about the man who wants to lead America?
You might recall that when Fox News tried to interview the domestic terrorist Bill Ayers, with whom Obama has worked for the past 13 years, he wouldn't talk to the reporter at all.
ABC also tried to talk to the Weather Underground bomber, but no luck either.
Do Obama's terrorist associates realize that if they want their guy to get in the White House, they have to keep their mouths shut for a few more days?
How can we possibly be seriously considering electing a man like Barack Obama, with his sympathies for America's enemies, and his shady associations with people who hate America?

al-Qaida Praying for Obama, Democrat Victory
We have yet another terrorist group endorsement of Barack Obama.
From Newsmax comes word that Abu Yahya al-Libi, one of the top al-Qaida commanders in Afghanistan, is praying that President Bush and the Republican Party will be "humiliated."
"O God, humiliate Bush and his party, O Lord of the Worlds, degrade and defy him," Abu Yahya al-Libi said at the end of sermon marking the Muslim feast of Eid al-Fitr, in a video posted on the Internet.
When the enemy of your country opposes a particular party or policy approach, that should speak volumes to you, shouldn't it?
When the group that blew up nearly 3,000 of your fellow Americans in one day is hoping for a particular political party to be "humiliated," shouldn't that tell you as an American in what direction your vote would best be cast?
That is, if you're a red-white-and-blue American, right?
Could Barack Obama Pass a Security Background Check?
Given all the shady characters (Bill Ayers, Rashid Khalidi, Ali Abunimah, et al) that Barack Obama has been associated with, the question has come up--understandably--of whether Obama could pass a security clearance background check like average Americans have to go through when working around sensitive national security information.
Fox News interviewed Daniel Pipes, Director of the Middle East Forum, (see video below) who doesn't think Obama would pass. Pipes sees Obama's associations with terrorists, anti-Americans and other radicals as a serious obstacle to a security clearance.
Pipes tells of a person who was looking to get a clearance to work at the National Security Agency (NSA) who had a French girlfriend; no dice on the clearance.
I remember when I was in the Air Force and came back to the States after spending three years overseas. While on leave between my last duty station and my upcoming one, I went to Del Rio, Texas to visit a friend stationed at the Air Force Base there. While I was there we went over into Mexico a few times since Del Rio sits right on the border. We just did a little sight-seeing, partying and dating some Mexican gals.
When I got to my next duty station, coincidentally I was up for a regularly scheduled security clearance review. One of the questions they ask is whether you've been to any foreign countries recently. When I told them I'd done a little partying in Mexico, suddenly the bright lights came on and they got the bamboo shoots ready for my fingernails. They were eventually satisfied I wasn't a commie spy or drug runner, but they gave me the third degree for a while.
But Barack Obama has associations with multiple radical anti-Americans going back many years. Most of these people have made it clear that they have immeasurable and burning hatred for the United States and would throw the party of the century if it was destroyed.
Because Obama is elected, he gets a free pass around the security standards average Americans would be held do.
If Obama is elected president, he will have access to ALL of America's national security information. He will be entrusted with America's national security itself.
Imagine that: someone who probably couldn't pass an average security background check, in charge of America's national security!
"You look at someone like Senator Obama with his plethora of very strong associations with radicals, with subversives, with anti-Americans, it's inconceivable to me that he could get a standard security clearance to work for the U.S. government."
Obama Hides His Sympathy With America's Enemies
More on Barack Obama's association with people who oppose our ally Israel and U.S. policy in the Middle East.
Thanks to Free Republic, I learned about an article at The Electronic Intifada ("intifada" means "shaking off" or "uprising" in Arabic) which is critical of Obama and fears that he might "love Israel."
The author, Ali Abunimah, said that when he first met Obama in 1998, he liked him: "Obama was forthright in his criticism of US policy and his call for an even-handed approach to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict."
However, as Obama had to "mainstream" himself to win his campaign, he got a little too friendly toward Israel and a little too critical of terrorist attacks against Israel for Abunimah's comfort.
But, according to Abunimah, Obama did later apologize for letting him down publicly:
As he came in from the cold and took off his coat, I went up to greet him. He responded warmly, and volunteered, "Hey, I'm sorry I haven't said more about Palestine right now, but we are in a tough primary race. I'm hoping when things calm down I can be more up front." He referred to my activism, including columns I was contributing to the The Chicago Tribune critical of Israeli and US policy, "Keep up the good work!"
The article has a photo of Barack and Michelle Obama at a May 1998 Arab community event in Chicago where Edward Said gave the keynote speech.
Wikipedia has some interesting things to say about Said:
Said's relationship with the Palestinian Authority was once so bad that PA leaders banned the sale of his books in August 1995, but improved when he hailed Arafat for rejecting Barak's offers at the Camp David 2000 Summit.
Barak bent over backwards and bared his neck for Arafat...but it wasn't good enough for Arafat (Israel still existed, perhaps?). Afterward, Arab terrorists launched a bloodbath.
It seems Said "got his head right," however. More from Wikipedia:
Ultimately, Said came to prefer and to support a state that would afford Palestinians a home with equal human rights in place of the 'Jewish' state of modern-day Israel.
"...in place of the 'Jewish' state of modern-day Israel"? Is that prettied-up language for "on the ruin of the former state of Israel"?
The entry also talks about and has a picture of Said throwing a rock at Israeli soldiers.
From working for years with domestic terrorist and anti-American Bill Ayers, to endorsements from terrorist organizations like Hamas to Obama's praise of spokesman for the terrorist Palestine Liberation Organization Rashid Khalidi to his willingness to talk without precondition with some of the most belligerent of America's enemies, Barack Obama has proven himself to be incapable of being trusted with America's international welfare.
How can we possibly entertain the notion of trusting a man like this at the helm of our great nation?
HT to Free Republic.
Interview with FBI Informant Who Worked with Obama Associate Bill Ayers
Bill O'Reilly interviewed FBI informant Larry Grathwohl last night on his experience with Barack Obama's associate, the domestic terrorist Bill Ayers and Ayers' group the Weather Underground.
Grathwohl details some of the vicious tactics and techniques employed by Ayers and his henchmen.
Ayers specified that bombs should contain fence staples to have an anti-personnel effect (i.e. chop people to shreds as shrapnel).
When Grathwohl pointed out that a restaurant near a police building they planned to bomb would be hit also, Ayers told Grathwohl "In a revolution, innocent people have to die."
Grathwohl said Ayers once chided Grathwohl's cell for not making enough bombs and doing enough bombings.
As the interview points out, the only reason Ayers isn't rotting behind bars for his terrorist acts is that the prosecution screwed up the investigation...and of course, since many judges are quite eager to cut every slack for criminals, Ayers got off Scott free.
The quality of this video leaves something to be desired, but it's a real eye-opener if you don't think Ayers was really such a bad guy.
Ayers methods may have changed (he's not blowing up buildings anymore), but he's every bit as radical as he always was. He's still trying to pervert young minds, remains unrepentant for his acts, and still wants to see the destruction of capitalism and the United States.
How can we possibly consider electing someone who would associate with a terrorist like Ayers to the presidency?
Would we consider electing an associate of Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh?

Dictators Mock Obama's Ignorance
This video shows a meeting of the League of Rogue Nations and Iran's Mahmoud Ahmadinejad taking a call from President Barack Obama.
President Obama is eager to sit down with them without precondition.
"Tuesday is no good. Thursday they'll be busy enriching uranium, er, the bowling league night."
As the ad humorously points out, Obama's naivete is no match for our enemies.
Obama doesn't take seriously that they are our enemies...but they most certainly take us and hurting us seriously.
Preconditions Our Enemies Have for Obama
Barack Obama may be willing to sit down without precondition with our enemies and the enemies of our allies, but those enemies definitely have some preconditions.
They'd like to wipe Israel off the map and have the U.S. run home with its tail between its legs.
That's not leadership. It's the kind of yellow diplomacy that gets people killed.
