Scarborough Upbraids His Panel of Pundits Over President-Select

Lately, Joe Scarborough has shown signs of softening the conservative image that he made while serving in Congress. I suppose that working at MSNBC would have that effect on most anyone, by osmosis alone. The slime oozing from Keith Obermouth is sure to get on everything at MSNBC and innocent people are probably contaminated daily.

But in this piece, Joe has his say and the fellow pundits are practically speechless, except for a lame attempt by Mike Barnicle to defend his once-great profession.

Hubris, Indeed!

In last night’s interview by ABC’s Charlie Gibson, Gov. Palin is accused of “hubris” in the opening comments and set a tone for the remainder of the session. There was, indeed, considerable hubris seen in this interview, but Charlie Gibson was apparently oblivious to the source. I can’t imagine any candidate of either party being subjected to such treatment, but over-all Palin did pretty well with the questions asked. I just wish she had pressed Gibson to explain why he thought her acceptance of the VP nomination was arrogant and unreasonably prideful.

Mike Gravel, former United States Senator from Alaska and presedential contender in 2008 is interviewed by Mitch Jeserich, Sonali Kolhatkar, and Larry Bensky on Sarah Palin, John McCain's VP pick. (Sep 1st, 2008). Gravel’s bona fides as a member of the left were secured during the Vietnam War when he fought to end the military draft and ultimately to withdraw from Vietnam. In this interview the hosts clearly expected something different from Mr. Gravel than what they got and their frustration is both laughable and a little pathetic.
