The Media Research Center's Times Watch points out the double standards in how Republicans are refrerred to by the "mainstream" media, specifically in context of the debates:
Also, the Times' story on the G.O.P. debate included 10 "conservative" labels, with the candidates constantly defending their "conservative credentials" before a "decidedly conservative crowd." Liberals apparently have no pull in the Democratic party, because the Times' April 27 story didn't see fit to mention their existence or Democratic candidates' attempts to appeal to them.
In case the MRC doesn't know it, there are no liberals on Planet Earth, only "conservatives" and "moderates." :-)
