The Gods of Liberalism Revisited

The lie hasn't changed, and we still fall for it as easily as ever.  But how can we escape the snare?

MPEACHW License Plates: Free Speech

The Rapid City Journal features a story about a woman who has MPEACHW license plates and how the state of South Dakota wants to recall them after issuing them to her:

But somebody doesn’t agree. And that somebody complained to the state. Now, the South Dakota Division of Motor Vehicles is trying to recall the plates -- which read MPEACHW. And if Moriah doesn’t turn them in voluntarily, the state might send law-enforcement officers to pick them up.

For the record, I'm with this gal (not her license plates). If she wants to broadcast her ignorance to the world and advocate impeaching President Bush for not being an appeaser, then that's her right of free speech. It would be different if the plates were obscene or profane, but they just express her opinion.

So what if they offend somebody? As I said last night, there is no right not to be offended. Obscenity is one thing, being offended at an opposing political message is another. If I saw them, I'd be offended, too.

But she has the right to be wrong.

Good grief, the level to which you radical righties will spin the truth never ceases to amaze me!

"Not being an appeaser"? How about impeachment for deliberately manipulating intelligence to justify a pre-planned war on Iraq?

How about for lying when he said that nobody ever told him about the levees in New Orleans being in danger?

How about for putting our nation in debt to Communist China to nearly 8 TRILLION DOLLARS?

How about for destroying our credibility in the world with his lies, deception and war-mongering?

Face it - your party has FAILED America. More than 7 in 10 agree with me.

I REJECT all of the spin that you may put forth to defend your failed party and administration. I've heard it all before, and I REJECT IT!!!

Get used to the next 50 years of peace, prosperity and progress under the Democratic Party. Perhaps your daily fix of Rush can soothe your aching soul during that time.

And no, I don't expect to see this comment posted for two reasons:

1) You 29%'ers are notorious for censoring any and all thought which doesn't fall into lock-step conformity with Karl Rove's talking points.

2) I have no intention of ever coming to this ridiculously insignificant stain on the Internet ever again.

Truth hurts, doesn't it MPEACHW ?

Several investigations and examinations have found no evidence that the Bush administration manipulated intel. It was either bad, or our 7-month "rush to war" gave Saddam plenty of time to get the WMDs out to Syria or somewhere else.

Bush didn't lie about New Orleans. It was the responsibility of state and local officials first, and when Bush and the LA governor discussed it prior, she indicated things were well in hand.

I concur with you on the problem of trade with China and the huge amount of money we're pouring in there, but we started doing that long before Bush came along...even before Republicans took control of Congress in 1994.

The only ones in the world we've lost credibility with are the ones who were in bed with Saddam in the first place. A bunch of greedy appeasers whose opinions don't matter anyway. MPEACHW, if you worry about what evil people think, you'll end up just like them. So stand on what's right and forget about what a bunch of socialists who envy America's success think.

Too bad you won't be back to read this; you might have learned something. A mind is a terrible thing to waste on liberalism.
