To start with, the official teaching in the LDS (Mormon) church is "We believe in God the eternal Father, and in his Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost." It ought to be noted that the name of the church is "Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter Day Saints"
I reject the right of Hanegraaff or Ellis, Benedict XVI, or anyone else to proclaim that I, for example, do NOT believe or accept the Lord Jesus Christ as the Savior of the World through his atoning sacrifice.
Just a few more thoughts on this posting:

Hmmm. Infallible? After being subjected to a series of early Church Councils that were the next best thing to a modern political convention?
Related to this: "They believe that the book of Mormon is the most correct of any book on earth and it's the keystone to their religion." Sort of...based on the lack of editing and revisions done by the afore-mentioned Byzantine/Papal councils with their own political axes to grind. The premise is that modern revelation trumps ancient politics any day! (If you don't believe that God can give modern revelation, it's no skin off of your nose one way or the other what someone else believes.) The Mormon position is "We believe the Bible to the the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God." This is an additive process, not a subtractive one. Going on "We believe all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and we believe that he will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God."
The statement "Now we'd all be very happy if Mormonism recanted their heresy particularly with respect the nature of God and the person and work of Jesus Christ." is in itself very interesting, I wonder what the commission of authority is to proclaim heresy, except of course within the context of one particular church denomination? There's a simple answer here...if you don't believe in the teachings, organization, etc. of another church, DON'T JOIN IT! Eh?
As for the Mormons, our principle is stated as " We claim the privilige of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may.
In closing...Mormonism teaches that "We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul - We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hopeto be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things."

It's my understanding that Mormons don't believe the Bible is the supreme, inerrant Word of God.
I also understand that Mormons believe that anyone can attain to Jesus' status under the right circumstances, which would make him not divine.
These key issues alone would make Mormonism not Christianity: if you don't believe that Jesus is THE eternal Son of God, then you don't hold to the most basic tenet of Christianity.

Romney's being a Mormon wouldn't necessarily dissuade me from voting for him. However, I would prefer someone who shares my same values, as most people would.
