The Truth Project in Rapid City

I just learned yesterday that South Canyon Baptist Church in Rapid City will be hosting a Truth Project study for 12 weeks starting January 6, 2008. The study will be from 8:57 am to 10:15 am, so if you attend another church, you could come to the Truth Project and still make your morning worship service elsewhere.

The Truth Project is about a biblical worldview, or seeing the world through God's eyes as revealed by the Scriptures. The course is 12 weeks long. An hour-long DVD is played and then there is discussion of the concepts.

Dale Bartscher of the South Dakota Family Policy Council has been teaching three of these per week at various times and locations around Rapid City for the past three months. Everyone I've talked to who has been through one of these can't say enough good things about it. The study apparently has the potential to radically change one's way of thinking, allowing the participant to recognize aspects of their own worldview which spring from a secular perspective, and what a biblical worldview looks like.

There's no cost to the course, and participants receive handouts with each lesson to take with them. Below is a video which demonstrates what the Truth Project is about.

This is the extended trailer for Focus on the Family's The Truth Project. The Truth Project is an innovative DVD curriculum that teaches viewers how to develop a systematic and comprehensive biblical worldview. Educator Dr. Del Tackett is both engaging and winsome as he teaches Christians to apply biblical truths to every area of life.
