Inviting Attack on America

I and others have said that Barack Obama's soft approach and willingness to coddle evil around the world will invite evil to attack us.

Obama doesn't understand that when the thugs and dictators and terrorists and belligerent around the world see weakness in America, they aren't impressed--it encourages them to strike a weak enemy.

As odd as it seems, apparently Obama's running mate Joe Biden realizes this as well, and admitted it recently.

Listen to this video to hear Biden talk about the attack against America that will surely come if Obama is elected.

America has projected strength since 911, and we have not been attacked. If we go back to projecting weakness again, this will surely come to pass.

Guess that is why 911 occurred under a Republican.

As far as a weak America, it again is George Bush and Republicans like John McCain that have gotten the US into an unnecessary war in Iraq weakening our ability to respond to other threats around the world. Then there is the economic crisis that further weakens the country.

The way John McCain's campaign team is crumbling even before the election proves he can't lead in a time of crisis. Meanwhile, Obama has run one of the best campaigns ever. This really shows he has the ability to lead and inspire people.

Richard, were you in kindergarten when 911 occurred? If you stop and think about it a minute, you might recall that it happened 8 months into the Republican administration--after multiple attacks under Bill Clinton's watch...if you can call it a "watch" since he was busy getting serviced by Monica in the Oval Office.

Iraq was a necessary war for a multitude of reasons, not the least of which was that Saddam failed to meet the terms of the 1991 cease fire agreement, and had been firing on U.S. and British warplanes several hundred times in the year before the war.

I suggest you read this for a quick summary of why the war was necessary: http://www.dakotavoice.com/2008/07/milestones-on-road-to-iraq.html.

It was only unnecessary in the sense that one always has the option to be a coward and ignore what needs to be done.

I am disgusted at the suggestion that I vote for the American president because of what some terrorists might do. If I vote for Obama something bad will happen to me? Sounds like the same fear-mongering trash we've been held captive by for the last 8 years, and I am completely sick of it.

If you have any interest in not seeing another 911--or worse--you should think very carefully about who you vote for.

It matters.

Burying your head in the sand won't keep you safe, alvastarr.
