The South Dakota abortion ban, HB 1293, passed the South Dakota House today by a 45-25 vote, which is similar to the margin by which last years ban, HB 1215, passed.
Significant amendments were added by Rep. Gordon Howe, but it didn't change the overall meaning of the bill and didn't remove the much lauded exceptions for rape/incest/health of the mother.
