The headline at Breitbart.com is "GOP Reeling From Money and Sex Scandals."
Why is that a newsworthy headline when there are plenty of sex and money scandals on the Democrat side of the house (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9,10,11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, etc.)? Why do you never see the headline: "Democrats Reeling from Sex and Money Scandals"? I think we all know it's not for lack of sex and money hanky panky on the Left.
Could it be because the "mainstream" media does such a good job of keeping Democrat scandals buried, while it broadcasts the slightest allegation toward Republicans like a flashing neon sign? Yeah, the stories about Democrats do manage to break out briefly, but they quickly manage to fall off the radar screen, while the media keeps thumping the Republican scandals around like a never-ending tennis match.
Could it be that people just expect that kind of behavior from Democrats, so it's not newsworthy?

Maybe it's because Republicans work so hard on their image as the party of moral values. Then, when these scandals come out, it makes them look like huge hypocrites.
I just hope that Craig is guilty as accused and trying to pull a Bill Clinton on us! Would be sad to learn that he was falsely accused like the Duke lacrosse team members.
There is that possibility, Carrie. In fact, I heard someone point out today that Craig actually didn't break any laws, even if he did everything that's being alleged.
Foot rubbing and hand waving in certain circumstances might constitute an interpretation of a solicitation of sexual activity, but even if Craig was engaging in restroom flirtation, it can't be proven that he intended to have sex in the bathroom--if he found a receptive pal, he might have proposed they get a room at a no-tell motel or something. He could have beaten any charges in court without working up a sweat.
Which also means that if he really wasn't trying to solicit a homosexual rendezvous, it's hard to believe he would have pleaded guilty to something he could have easily beaten in court--even to avoid publicity. Maybe, but it's a stretch.
Besides, everything I've read about the arresting officer indicates he's someone of integrity, not a publicity hound or someone who pushes the envelope on arrests.
In the end, it's hard to say, but all things considered, it doesn't look good for Craig.
