Republican Newt Gingrich, in a jab at President Bush, warned on Friday that the GOP will lose the White House and Congress in 2008 if the nominee is perceived as a continuation of the Bush presidency.
They'll also lose big in congress if they continue trying to be Democrats-Lite. All the Republican big-spending and derelection on the border/immigration and so on just makes them look like pale imitations of Democrats.
Why would people buy an imitation when they can get the real thing for the same price of a vote?

Very true. They don't realize how much they are hurting themselves for 2008.
