If humans actually are generating global warming (despite the evidence), then it looks like all that Al Gore's Live Earth global warming concerts generated was more hot air--in more ways than one.
From the Daily Mail:
Critics said however that the public had simply snubbed what they saw as a hypocritical event.
Musicians including Bob Geldof, Roger Daltrey and the Pet Shop Boys pointed out that a concert highlighting climate change had itself generated huge carbon emissions.
Performers were criticised for flying to concerts that were staged simultaneously on seven continents.
The BBC's coverage, which ran for 15 hours from 12.30pm on Saturday to 4am yesterday, also sparked dozens of complaints about bad language.
Event organizers, of course, tried to blame it on everything but the real cause, but really it just flopped.
And in an instance of ironic poetic justice, low attendance for the global warming concert in Johannesburg, South Africa was blamed on exceptionally cold weather.
Apparently the general public isn't as gullible as these media and music types.
