Planned Parenthood Nurse Apparently Condones Rape of 13 Y.O.

Herald-Times(Bloomington, IN)

Planned Parenthood suspends employee after video on abortion counseling

A local Planned Parenthood employee has been suspended after the release of a video surreptitiously shot at a clinic which shows a woman who identifies herself as a 13-year-old being given advice that is a violation of the organization’s policies.
[…]
A press release, sent by e-mail today from liveactionfilms.org, identifies the video as being shot on June 24 by UCLA student Lila Rose. It shows a blond haired female and a nurse, identified as “Diana.” The nurse’s face is blurred during the interaction.

In the video, the “patient,” who is accompanied by another female identified as a friend, states that her name is Brianna. She tells the nurse she is 13 years old and has missed her monthly period. The nurse responds that anyone under the age of 13 needs parental consent to get an abortion in Indiana. “Brianna” further reveals that she doesn’t want to explain who the father is because he could get in trouble. She later says that the father is 31 years old.

In the video, which has breaks and cuts, the nurse advises how to lie about the father’s age. The “patient” is then shown a piece of paper which Rose alleges showed her that she could get an abortion in Illinois without parental consent.

Rose, who has done previous videos at Planned Parenthoods in Los Angeles, where she posed as a pregnant teenager under 18, is a 20-year-old history major. She said Wednesday that Indiana is just one of many states chosen by liveactionfilms.org for “audits.” She called Bloomington a “major” clinic in the state, explaining why it was chosen. She said she expects videos of other clinics will be released that show similar scenarios.

“In the vast majority of cases, you’re going to find sexual abuse cover-up,” Rose said in a telephone interview.

Rose said the scenarios are similar, in which a “young girl” purports to abort a pregnancy by a much older man. She said Indiana’s case is one of the more “severe” cases because of the extreme age differences.
[…]
Rose said one of the concerns she had was that the clinic advice directed the teen to avoid reporting the abuse, which put her back in the hands of her abuser.

This is not the first time that Planned Parenthood has been embarrassed by illegal and/or immoral behavior by employed staff. Why do they continue to get government funding when they have been shown to have utter disregard for not only the law, but for women in general?

She was telling the girl to lie because she was trying to save her life, so that she could get an abortion without receiving punishment. It doesn't take a genius to understand that.

Why is it that you pro-lifers are so insistent on saving the life of a baby who has yet to create any emotional attachments with anyone, but you won't protect the life of an abused child or mother, or the life of a woman who can die if she gives birth (such as a 13 year old girl, who's body is not yet able to handle pregnancy). And that's not even to mention that you rally behind war and the death penalty. Hypocrites.

Why does Planned Parenthood keep getting government funding when it continues to subvert the law? I don't know.

Why does the Catholic Church keep getting tax exemptions when its priests continue to discriminate based on gender and rape altar boys? Would any secular organization be allowed to get away with that?

Life is full of tough questions!

Planned Parenthood institutionally subverts the law, and is rarely held accountable for that.

Pedophile priests within the Catholic Church act outside the institutional blessing of the Church, and are usually held accountable. And beyond the actions of a few immoral individuals, the Church provides a service to society that most good churches have done since America's beginnings: provide the underpinnings for the moral fabric of our society. The Catholic Church has been a leader in defending human life and defending the sanctity of marriage.

Anonymous 1:04, in what way was the girl's life in jeopardy? I was unaware there was some medical condition associated with the pregnancy which threatened the mother's life. While 13 is young, girls that age have been giving birth successfully for thousands of years. It isn't recommended, but I'd like to see some medical evidence that this girl's pregnancy threatened her life before accepting that her life was in jeopardy.

Are you stating that her parents would have killed her if she did not receive the abortion? On what evidence do you base that assertion? Even if that were the case, most states with parental notification laws also have clauses that allow a girl to get around parental notification with the approval of a court of law. No indication that Planned Parenthood even attempted to do that here.

I'm also unfamiliar with the premise that the value of human life is based on emotional attachment. Does that mean if a mother for whatever reason loses her emotional attachment to her two-year-old, she can kill it with no moral or legal culpability?

War is not in and of itself immoral. The doctrine of "just war" has been understood and accepted for nearly 2,000 years, if not even longer. Nations have the right and the obligation to their citizens to protect themselves from harm from other nations.

Finally, capital punishment involves the state-sanctioned execution of a criminal found guilty by a court of law, and in almost all cases involves the wrongful taking of human life; in other words, the perpetrator has demonstrated an egregious lack of respect for the sanctity of human life, and is guilty of the highest possible crime. Are you implying that unborn children have committed some crime that in some way makes them more deserving of execution in the womb than a convicted murderer?

"Pedophile priests within the Catholic Church act outside the institutional blessing of the Church, and are usually held accountable."

Hmm, not so much. Actually, instead of removing these rapists from the priesthood, the Vatican simply reassigned many of them to different parishes, where no one would know about their disgusting behavior. If they had indeed lost the Church's blessing, wouldn't they have been fired instead of being given a clean slate to molest more unsuspecting altar boys? It just goes to show you that as long as you call yourself a religious organization, you can break as many laws as you want and destroy as many lives as you want.

It's true that some within the Catholic Church attempted to cover up this pedophilia, and that was reprehensible. I think even those who covered it up knew it was reprehensible.

At PP, however, skirting and thwarting the law is a way of life--as is the murder of innocent children. It's actually stunning to hear that in this particular case, the perpetrator has been suspended. Normally they do nothing whatsoever. In fact, I think they like that...until they get caught.

When I saw the video it was IMMEDIATELY obvious that the alleged 13 year old was a decoy. Planned Parenthood has been the victim of even worse events than this. Let's remember this:

Many women seeking abortions have also faced harassment, interference, and intimidation at abortion clinics.

Since 1977, there have been more than 45 000 reported cases of picketing, 400 cases of stalking, 150 cases of arson, and 40 bombings.

And, As we are all too well aware, abortion has been at the heart of a political and cultural storm for over 3 decades it has been legally available in the United States—a particularly deadly, ugly storm at that.

It has left dead in its wake Dr David Gunn, Dr John Bayard Britton, Dr Bernard Slepian, James Barrett, Shannon Lowney, and Leanne Nichols. At least 6 other people have been shot and seriously wounded.

Planned Parenthood was the "victim" here. That's a good one!

Not the millions of dead babies; who cares about them?

Not the millions of women who were lead to believe no physical harm would come to them from their abortions...but ended up with breast cancer, torn reproductive organs, infertile, etc.; who cares about that?

Not the millions of women PP told that abortion would be a "quick fix" and they could forget about "this whole unpleasant thing"...until they found themselves spiraling downward into an emotional and mental hell because their own consciences wouldn't let them escape the knowledge that they'd killed their own child; who cares about them?

After all, PP is a victim!...of it's own greed and lawlessness!

No one forced them to ignore or break the law...but they're the victim.

Tell me: how far are you willing to twist common sense and reality in order to keep murder-in-the-name-of-convenience legal?
