Comments Down for the Holidays

I'm shutting comments down at Dakota Voice for the next day and a half.

Family is already arriving for Christmas, and I don't have time for comment moderation, nor do I have time to argue with the obstinate. Dakota Voice is not a platform to spread liberal lies, and comments promoting them will not be published here without challenge; the "mainstream" media provides more than enough unchallenged liberal lies to our society.

Only blog authors will be able to comment during this time.

In the meantime, let's all take the time to slow down, do some reflection, and ponder the meaning and significance of Christmas.

It's not about Santa Claus, Christmas trees and Christmas lights.

It's the time when we celebrate the incarnation of the Living God in human form. It's the time when we celebrate the birth of the Savior of the human race, when God took human form to live among us but without sin, to give his life to save us from the punishment our sins deserved.

Short of the cross and the resurrection, it's the most significant event in human history. Let us afford it the consideration and reverence it is due.

Merry Chrismas!
