Doublespeaking South Dakotans

Sibby is reporting that the hilariously-named South Dakota Campaign for Healthy Families group is co-chaired by 15 people including RINO state senator Stan Adelstein of Rapid City. Sibby's post says Adelstein ponyed up $22 K for the group.

Seems like everyone I've come across agrees with me that the name picked for this group is a real laugh--that is, if the killing of children in the womb was a joke.

Reminds me of the "doublespeak" (doublethink and newspeak) of George Orwell's "1984." That is a classic calling card of the Left, isn't it? It's where we got the "German Democratic Republic" of East Germany under Soviet dominion, and where you get the "People's Republic of China" where the people don't have squat to say about their government.

Since Marxist socialism has taken such a hold on America, you often see it here, too, with groups such as the "South Dakota Campaign for Healthy Families" that promotes killing unborn children and wrecking the lives of their mothers.

Bob ...

at least we know what wing of your party you have now aligned yourself with. The sibby wing. Aka nutso wing.

BTW ... the tone of your post really makes it seem like you're threatened by this petition drive.

I'm not threatened at all by this petition drive. However, I do believe this petition drive intends to play off ignorance and emotionalism. That's okay, though; the pro-life side is up to educating the public. Passivity breeds ignorance, and there is a lot of that now, but this effort by pro-abortionists will be good for the pro-life side, forcing them to explain to the public how hollow the rationale for abortion is.

Incidentally, the tone of my post has nothing to do with the petition drive itself. It has to do with the disingenuousness--dare I say the downright deceptiveness--of the name of the "Healthy Families" group. As I said, if this weren't such a serious issue, it'd be worth howling with laughter over.

"dare I say the downright deceptiveness--of the name of the "Healthy Families" group."

Similar to Planned Parenthood's claim that women's "health" is their top priority. "Priorities" that are 93.2% abortions, 6.8% prenatal care. Pretty well settles their claim of being "pro-child", I would say.
