The Gods of Liberalism Revisited

The lie hasn't changed, and we still fall for it as easily as ever.  But how can we escape the snare?

"Cowards cut and run. Marines never do."

After months of bellyaching and whining to pull the troops out of Iraq, hypocritical Dems in the House turned tail and ran from their own idea.

As reported by WorldNetDaily (http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=47489), only three Dems had the guts to put their money where their mouth is and vote for a resolution calling for the immediate withdrawal of troops from Iraq.

Of course they won't, but any sane person would have sense of shame enough to shut their pie hole after being exposed as a bunch of opportunists who will eagerly put political opportunity ahead of the welfare of our troops and our country.

Proving once again that the way tell if a Democrat is lying is to check whether their mouth is open.

I wasn't in in the Marines, but spent 10 years in the Air Force, which was enough to teach me to appreciate what Marines do in combat (thank God for 'em).

But, Mr. Fasball, I'd be willing to make a bet that you supported that draft-dodging, pot smoking, lying adulterer Bill Clinton without any military service under his belt (he even said he "loathed" the military).

Neither combat experience nor military service means you know everything, and it certainly doesn't provide a pass for bad behavior the rest of your life. I appreciate Murtha's service to America in the Marines, but now he's jeopardizing that noble legacy on the altar of lies and political expediency.

You might also read what Paul Scates, a fellow Marine Vietnam veteran, has to say about Murtha at http://www.dakotavoice.com/200512/Opinion/Regular/20051202_PES.html. If you still don't think I have place to denounce Murtha's lousy behavior, maybe you'll consider what Mr. Scates has to say...

Oh, by the way, even Murtha didn't vote to cut-and-run when he had the chance in the House vote Nov. 18.

Maybe he's the one who needs to shut his chickenhawk pie hole...
