From today's mailbag:
This Wednesday, the Dakotafest Debate between Republican U.S. House candidate Chris Lien and his opponent, Congresswoman Herseth Sandlin will take place. The two will take the stage at Dakotafest in Mitchell on Wednesday, August 20th at 10:00 a.m. to debate the issues important to South Dakotans.
We here at the Chris Lien for Congress campaign strongly encourage you to attend the debate at Dakotafest so you can see how Chris plans to solve Washington's problems with South Dakota solutions. We're certainly looking forward to the opportunity to debate and we hope you're looking forward to seeing it happen in person at 10:00 am, Wednesday.
If you can't make it to the debate, WNAX will be broadcasting it live on 570 AM, so tune in and listen if you aren't able to make it to Dakotafest. The debate at Dakotafest is one of the most significant political traditions in the state and will certainly be worth attending if you are in the area.
If you are able to attend the event in Mitchell this Wednesday, we'll have plenty of Lien Machine shirts available for you folks to wear around Dakotafest with pride. If you don't have one already, make sure you stop by the Republican Party booth and grab a shirt. Also, if you'd like to make sure you get one (seeing as the Lien Machine t-shirts are such a hot item this summer), send an e-mail to courtney@chrislienforcongress.com and let Courtney know you'd like her to save you a shirt. Don't forget to tell her which size!
There will also be a snow-cone maker, so it's likely you'll see me there, eating away on some delicious snow-cones. Not only that, but the booth will also provide cookies, donuts, water, and some less-edible stickers to wear, so there are plenty of reasons to stop by the booth. Grab a snow-cone, grab a cookie, and grab a t-shirt. Then head to the debate and hear what Chris has to say.
This is a big event for South Dakota politics and South Dakota voters, so make your presence felt in Mitchell at Dakotafest, Wednesday at 10:00 am. In fact, bring your family, friends, co-workers, or anyone else you feel may enjoy the political discussion or Dakotafest in general. If you can't attend, be sure to tune in on WNAX-570 AM to listen live. This is an important event to us here at Chris Lien for Congress and we hope to see you there!
