The Anchorage Daily News has an interview that can be seen at their website. In this interview we see the Governor in a casual setting at home with husband and children. She proves what many of us have said, that she was over-managed by the McCain campaign and if left to her own thoughts and resources she can more than hold her own. She demonstrates intelligence, kindness and patience, but is no one's patsy. This interview gives us a glimpse of a strong, centered woman who knows who she is and what she believes and is quite able to defend herself if given the chance. Many Christians will recognize in Mrs. Palin the "fruits of the Spirit" mentioned in Gal. 5:22. Our country needs many more leaders of such qualities.
We'll see more of Sarah Palin in this light tonight at 10 o'clock ET on FOX News Channel:

More for Bitter-Clingers*
*And other red-blooded Americans
The video of Sarah (Heath) Palin's swim-suit competition in the 1984 Miss Alaska Pageant was yanked from YouTube because of claimed "copyright violation," but was saved by an intrepid jounalist, Andy Baio, and is here for our enjoyment.
This, friends, is a politician I would be willing to follow anywhere. As Rush has said, I am a big fan of the women's movement--especially when walking behind!
"If we can cut through the nonsense and the lipstick and the pigs and the silliness, then I'm absolutely convinced that we're going to win," Mr. Obama said, speaking over laughter and applause.

Some Believe Obama Responsible for SNL Skit
The sad demise of NBC (owned by General Electric) as a viable, serious and entertaining television network is no longer a subject for debate. This week’s Satuday Night Live falls into line with Oberman, Maddow and Mathews, attacking Govenor Palin with viscious and scurrilous innuendo that borders on slander. In an unprecedented display of hatred, maliciousness and hubris, SNL has produced a skit that accuses Todd Palin of incest with his daughters. This from the tolerant Left who have decried the practice of character assassination and the “politics of personal destruction.” There is reason to believe that B. Hussein Obama personally approved this skit and may have even suggested the idea to SNL writers. Obama has not yet shown evidence to the contrary.
From WorldNetDaily:
NBC jokes: Todd Palin has sex with daughters
'Saturday Night Live' skit suggests Sarah's husband guilty of incest
‘What about the husband?’ asked a Times reporter [in the SNL skit] during a mock assignment meeting for the paper. ‘You know he's doing those daughters. I mean, come on. It's Alaska.’
The assignment editor for the Times, portrayed by actor James Franco, responded: ‘He very well could be. Admittedly, there is no evidence of that, but on the other hand, there is no convincing evidence to the contrary. And these are just some of the lingering questions about Governor Palin.’
As election day nears we can be sure that this is not the last or the worst that the Obamites have in store for Americans. Machine politics, à la Chicago, knows no limits when it comes to appropriating power.

They're All Bloomin' Mad!
The attack on Sarah Palin from leftist feminists (usually a redundancy in the common usage) is relentless and sadly predictable. Ignoring everything that they have claimed to stand-for for nearly half a century, we are again reminded that the women’s’ movement is least of all concerned about women; they are liberal socialists who happened to be women.
With Gov. Palin’s nomination as Vice-President there was sure to be a concerted effort by the Left to derisively demean her accomplishments and we’ve seen exactly that from all the usual suspects. (I am intentionally not providing links.)
A particularly egregious example of feminists’ disdain for truly independent and successful women is reported by Howard Kurtz in the Washington Post:
“[B]ut some media commentators say Palin is fair game, not just because she is running for national office but because she is a self-described ‘hockey mom’ who told the nation that her eldest son is headed to Iraq.Lisa Bloom, daughter of well-known lawyer and cable TV regular Gloria Allred, apparently thinks that any mention of a candidate’s family opens the field for heavy fire from all directions, no target spared. Palin’s “mom quality,” being part of her personal story (don’t you just know how much the feminists despise that) makes it OK to attack that as if it were a history of say, comporting with terrorists, or habitual plagiarization, or perjury before a grand jury. Following the same logic, Michelle Obama’s girls are fair game. Fortunately, I don't know of any Republicans interested in going after Obama's children, but, then again, they have plenty of other targets of opportunity relative to B. Hussein Obama and Co. All of us know how silly Bloom's argument is but the Left will likely continue to jump at every opportunity to criticize Sarah Palin any way they can. It’s the Democratic way.
"’Once she's brought her children in as selling points, unfortunately the bad comes in with the good," says Lisa Bloom, a Court TV anchor. "She's integrating her mom quality as a key part of her résumé. We didn't do that in the press; she did that.’"
