The Gods of Liberalism Revisited

The lie hasn't changed, and we still fall for it as easily as ever.  But how can we escape the snare?

Libs Try to Turn US into Twilight Zone

So funny because it's so true! Check out Vernon Robinson's Twilight Zone ad:

Human Events compares Robinson to Ann Coulter (and he wears it as a badge of honor).

WMD Info: Why Haven't We Seen This Before?

For those Leftists on the run from reality and desperately trying to pooh-pooh this WMD story, (I know, I know, nothing can penetrate the tinfoil hats of liberals, but call me a glutton), consider this from Lt. General Tom McInerny:

"Probably more important is why has the administration not made this public beforehand," retired Air Force Lt. Gen. Tom McInerny said of the report. "I think the fact is that the Russians moved large stocks [of WMDs] out in the fall of 2002. ... They went into three locations into Syria, in one location in the Bekaa Valley. If you get in there and if you found those weapons and found the precursors, the fingerprints would go back to Russia, China and France. Now those are the three countries that had the most conventional weapons sales to Saddam Hussein. ... I believe they were complicit. So I don't think the administration wants to trash three of the five members of the [ U.N.] Security Council."

It never took a genius to figure why the Axis of Weasles was so against going into Iraq in the first place. Think drug dealers are keen on letting the police take a stroll around their meth lab to look for evidence? Or do you think they'd try to clean the place up before a police raid--maybe by removing/destroying evidence? Hmmm, no that one's too complex for liberal thought.

Hundreds of WMDs discovered in Iraq

WorldNetDaily is reporting on part of a declassified report from the National Ground Intelligence Center, a Defense Department intelligence unit.

We've been finding WMDs and evidence of them since before the war was over (remember the chemicals found in the Euphrates River?). But if the Left refuses to see it, then it doesn't exist.

I'm reminded of the monkeys hearing and seeing no evil (the Left says plenty of it, though).

No Money Where the Left's Mouth Is

The Senate took a vote today on whether to cut-and-run from Iraq.

From Associated Press:

The war was "a grotesque mistake," [said] the Democratic House leader, Rep. Nancy Pelosi of California. "The administration continues to dig a hole. They refuse to come up and see the light," she said.

"Is it al-Qaida or is it America? Let the voters take note of this debate," said Republican Rep. Charles Norwood of Georgia, attacking war critics as defeatists who do not deserve re-election.

In the Senate vote today, of 99 voting senators, only John Kerry (D-MA), Russ Feingold (D-WI), Barbara Boxer (D-CA), Robert Byrd (D-WV), Tom Harkin (D-IA), and Ted Kennedy (D-MA) voted for the bill.

Suddenly their steadfast commitment to a "cut-and-run" strategy to win the war sounds like, "Uh, er, mmmm, well, hmmm..."

I could have sworn I heard the Left crying and moaning that we needed to get out of Iraq like "yesterday." Instead of "Get the troops out of Iraq," I guess now it's "Get my foot out of my mouth."

Maybe even they (the ones in Washington, that is) don't really want to cut and run; they just want to use the war as a vehicle to make Bush look bad. Don't get me wrong, they'd cut and run in a heartbeat if it was up to them, because the Left are natural cowards in the face of evil, but they realize that even though they've demonized the war for over 3 years, the American people still aren't going to stand for cowardice.

Their Left feet must be taking up all the space in their mouths, because there certainly isn't any money where the Left's mouth is.

A Glimpse of Why Dems Just Don't Get It

When talking with liberals, have you ever felt like they spoke a foreign language? Or maybe that you were on FM and they were stuck on AM?

From the Pennington County Democrat blog and an interview with Jack Billion, here's a look at what the Left calls "family values:"

What kind of discussion would you like to see happen?

I’d like to see us talk about a return to real family values. The ultra conservative wing of the Republican Party has taken a dominant role in South Dakota and we’ve moved away from that. Real family values mean promoting good wages and good jobs. Real family values mean solid educational opportunities for our children, starting with preschool education? we are one of 12 states without a preschool program, and moving into a well-funded K-12 program. To me, access to health care and health insurance for the 90,000 South Dakotans who are uninsured is something I look at as a family value, and we need talk about these things.

It's like they said to themselves, "To have a hope of winning, we have to look like we have some family values. But we don't have any. But look: we do have all this big-government stuff! Here, let's slap a "Family Values" label on the big-government stuff and hope the public believes it."

Newsflash for the reality-impaired: a socialist grab-bag doesn't equal family values. Hint for liberals, since you probably haven't seen family values in your political neighborhood for decades: family values are values which promote, protect and honor the family, such as not killing your children in the womb, not allowing a couple of homosexuals to call what they're doing "marriage," promoting parental authority in and out of schools, teaching children good moral values, not taxing families into mediocrity while pretending you care about families...you know, stuff like that.

And they wonder why values voters won't elect them...
