Ron Paul posted this video on his website last night as he threw in the towel and hung up his spurs in his ride for the presidency.
Except for his Libertarian tendencies and MoveOn.org-type opposition to the war in Iraq and the War on Terrorism, I liked him a lot. He has a rare reverence for the Constitution that I wish more politicians had.

What's wrong with "Libertarian tendencies?" Libertarianism seems to be popular in South Dakota and with young people (I know a lot of people my age who like Rob Paul).
I'm a conservative, not a libertarian. Libertarianism is better than liberalism, but the conservative position is not anti-government, but small government.
Conservatives differ from libertarians primarily in that we see a limited role for government, where libertarians see an even more diminished role--which typically translates into opposition for drug laws, and sometimes even opposition to laws to protect the innocent (like the 2006 abortion ban).
Conservatives typically want enough government to protect the innocent and maintain order, and leave most everything else up to the people, but from a conservative perspective, libertarians carry that too far.
