Palin Speaks Powerfully on the Value of Human Life

Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin gave a tremendous speech on Saturday in Johnstown, Pennsylvania about the value of human life and of the utmost priority to protect innocent human life.

God gave his people a clear choice thousands of years ago, to choose between life and death. Today, we have that same choice--and we exercise it not only in our daily lives, but in how we cast our vote. Do you want to be on the right side of this choice?

This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live

Below is an excerpt from Palin's speech, courtesy of LifeNews, and a video of most of that speech below the excerpt.
Yes, every innocent life matters. Everyone belongs in the circle of protection. Every child has something to contribute to the world, if we give them that chance. There are the world’s standards of perfection … and then there are God’s, and these are the final measure. Every child is beautiful before God, and dear to Him for their own sake.

As for our beautiful baby boy, for Todd and me, he is only more precious because he is vulnerable. In some ways, I think we stand to learn more from him than he does from us. When we hold Trig and care for him, we don’t feel scared anymore. We feel blessed.

It’s hard to think of many issues that could possibly be more important than who is protected in law and who isn’t – who is granted life and who is denied it. So when our opponent, Senator Obama, speaks about questions of life, I listen very carefully.

I listened when he defended his unconditional support for unlimited abortions. He said that a woman shouldn’t have to be – quote – “punished with a baby.” He said that right here in Johnstown –“punished with a baby” – and it’s about time we called him on it. The more I hear from Senator Obama, the more I understand why he is so vague and evasive on the subject. Americans need to see his record for what it is. It’s not negative or mean-spirited to talk about his record. Whatever party you belong to, there are facts you need to know.

Can You Name One of Barack Obama's Legislative Accomplishments?

I had forgotten about this until someone reminded me of this interview from Chris Matthews on Barack Obama's accomplishments.

This must have been before Matthews got that tingling running up his leg for Obama.

Barack Obama: Guilt by Participation

The "mainstream" media and other liberals would like you to believe talking about a U.S. Senator and wannabe president who associates with a domestic terrorist is "fear mongering."

They'd like you to believe that it just doesn't matter that Barack Obama seems to be surrounded by people who loathe the United States and all we stand for.

Do you associate with people who loathe the the things you love?

Sleep at your peril. It is of the utmost importance.

Motivation to Find America

American Minute from William J. Federer

Muslim Turks conquered Constantinople in 1453, cutting off the land trade routes from Europe to India and China, so Europeans sought new routes.

During Portugal's golden age of sea power, Columbus sailed south along the African coast and then north to Iceland. He heard stories of Irish monk St. Brendan sailing in 530 AD to "The Land of the Promised Saints which God will give us on the last day" and of Leif Erickson's voyage in 1000 AD to Vinland. Columbus read 2nd century astronomer Ptolemy's Guide to Geography, which described a spherical earth with one ocean connecting Europe and Asia. Columbus corresponded with Florentine physician Toscanelli, who suggested China was 5,000 miles west of Portugal.

On OCTOBER 12, 1492, Columbus sighted what he thought was India. He imagined Haiti was Japan and Cuba was the tip of China.

Naming the first island "San Salvador" for the Holy Savior, Columbus wrote of the inhabitants "So that they might be well-disposed towards us, for I knew that they were a people to be...converted to our Holy Faith rather by love than by force, I gave to some red caps and to others glass beads...They became so entirely our friends that...I believe that they would easily be made Christians."

William J. Federer is a nationally recognized author, speaker, and president of Amerisearch, Inc, which is dedicated to researching our American heritage. The American Minute radio feature looks back at events in American history on the dates they occurred, is broadcast daily across the country and read by thousand on the internet.

Pop Culture Slackers Sit in the Back and Throw Spit Wads

Yes, people who act like other people are imminently qualified to judge the qualifications of people who run a state.

This idiot pop-culture types are like the slouching slackers who sit at the back of the class, throwing spit wads, and always either giggling or scowling.

No one of any intellectual fiber takes them or the class clowns seriously...but they do tend to prove an irritant to those who are serious about accomplishing something worthwile.
